Future of the House

Yeah my grandma had it in in the yard, a callback to fucking commie 60s. No longer used by the time I was alive, but still there.

I mean something I would expect not in an american suburb.

Can we get Chris to use it as a bathtub?
Septic tanks are way more common than you'd expect in rural areas, and 14BC is a rural area. There was even a King of the Hill episode where the guys rented a backhoe to dig out Bill's septic tank and replace it with a new one and Arlen is supposed to be a town of 100k+.

Knowing that 14BC is on spetic is nothing to be surprised or alarmed over.

Jesus. A spetic system? What country ass bullshit is this town? Knowing the Chandlers, that thing has been completely neglected since Bob died. That new owner is going to have quite the problem on their hands.

The US is a big country with a highly dispersed population. Not everywhere people want to build is conveniently close to a public sewage system. And water is too scarce a commodity in many of the more desert areas to justify wasting it on shuttling waste to a central facility.

Also modern septic systems can be pretty damn sophisticated (though the one at 14BLC likely is not), little different from the public waste treatment facilities except in matter of scale. In fact some home septic systems are far better than the combined sewers in some (most) major cities.

At least septic systems aren't designed to dump raw sewage into the nearest river every time a storm overwhelms the gutters like some public systems still do.

You will almost certainly be doxxed one way or another, if you did that.

If someone here bought 14BLC they certainly would be, especially if they bragged about it. The same goes for some ween buying it. If some random normie were to buy 14BLC, they probably wouldn't be doxxed beyond a simple title search simply because random normies aren't interesting.

any future owners will likely be totally ignorant of who the Chandlers were and what their history with the house was.

And they might even remain ignorant for perhaps up to a week before the constant weenery forces on them knowledge of Chris that they never wanted to know.

You can’t tell the difference at a user experience level.

Apart from the slightly healthier patch of the lawn, pretty much this.

Can we get Chris to use it as a bathtub?

Have you not seen the videos from the inside of 14BLC? I'm not sure that would be worse than the facilities Chris actually used for personal hygiene.

I live in a 10k town and even here its unheard of in the bumfuck of tracksuit land.

It's a matter of population density, rather than population total, and the last mile problem.

Besides, 10k is a metropolis compared to Ruckersville's mere thousand or so residents (which was even less back when 14BLC was built). I don't think Ruckersville is even incorporated to this day. And 14BLC is itself fairly far removed even from "downtown" Ruckersville.

suburbs I would think would have it.

Calling 14BLC "suburban" is being very generous. It's very much rural, except what it farms is lolcows.

Lolcow pasture 14LC. Well they just lost their prize pig... I mean autist.

I know the Redditors are gluesniffers but this point was raised by someone in this thread.

Redditor :

Could also be Heilberg has told him he will NOT be returning to the Temple in real life, but will instead be going to whatever housing the state of Virginia is required by law to find him.

I do think its significant the house is now in his safe space.

edit- As far as I can see they never even bothered to update the deed after Bob died, its still listed as jointly owned by Robert and Barbara Chandler although the site does say any changes may be on a ten day delay.

The first half of 2022's property tax is still unpaid, on the 6th of June it will start incurring penalties and late fees.

Me:

Is this an unusual state of affairs?

I think the hospital finally drove that fact home in Chris' head. Heilberg has probably also been telling him that since day one, but Chris never listened.

What matters are the bank liens, not the names on the title (apart from the fact that Chris' name isn't on it).

Not really for rural white trash, especially when they inherit the property or gain it through marriage like Barb did instead of earning it. It's shocking how many public records are woefully out of date, and how harum-scarum people can be about their financial obligations.

Barb ignoring her property taxes is little different from all the intersectional basket weaving graduates ignoring their student debts.

Barb extending her fobbing off to include the house she lives.... Presumably is the icing on the shit sundae.

Septic systems are absolutely used in most of the United States. Sewer systems are expensive to build and maintain and city budgets are failing because they have been kept afloat by development fees, but each new development adds infrastructure that must be maintained, meaning that if new developments dry up, the city can't afford to maintain them.

In the case of Ruckersville, they don't even have that. Greene county is rural and has a tiny, tiny population. The only sewer service in Greene County is in the county seat of Stanardsville, and the commercial area in Ruckersville where the Walmart, Mcdonalds, etc. are.

In America, the city builds sewer systems but developers do not, so if a development is outside of the city limits (as is Chris' subdivision), they're not on the sewer line. If it gets annexed, the city does have to provide sewer but not until they get taxed for it for a few years.

The only incorporated city in Greene County is Stanardsville, population 500. Everyplace else, Ruckersville included, is unincorporated land.

That's implying Chris would ever give up 14BC, that house has been his safe space for virtually all his life save for the few years before he moved in and his brief forrays outside of it (the various conventions, the months after it burned down, jail time, etc.). Why would Chris ever want to sell the house that he effectively forced into becoming part of his identity even back during the golden years when he declared his address all the time?

The Greene County Conspiracy was when Chris was living in the Midlothian area, near Richmond. Chris absolutely did not want to go back to 14BC because his Gal Pals, and everything he knew from his adolescent life -- his self-reported happiest time of his life -- was in Chesterfield County and on trips to the city of Richmond and Henrico County.

14BC was not the Sonichu Temple then. 14BC was a hated place where he lived when his babysitter traumatized him and the homosexual school principal wanted to rape him.

Normal people can change opinions and grow fonder of something, but with Chris his memory changes on a dime. Even before he completely lost his mind, he's rewritten what happened with Megan in his mind, he actively started to change what happened with Greene Elementary even during the "golden days", and has some mixed feelings about the trolls.

From what little I've heard, Barb is in some sort of rest home now, which would leave the house abandoned. Best case scenario is that someone boards up the house to prevent vandalism and Barb doesn't die before Chris is released, leading to a probate court fight. But either way, the house is a lost cause. Chris' only claim to undivided ownership is if Barb wills it to him and that's assuming he can find a way to keep the payments going...which is going to be hard since he was already financially underwater, has no idea of money management or provide a steady income...and probably doesn't have the self-sufficiency to fight it in court and use every legal maneuver to save the house...and anyone willing to help him has ulterior motives at best.

What's the source for barb being in a rest home?

I don't think we have anything that concretly says she's in a old persons home now, if it's like some autist saying they heard from another guy, from another guy, from another guy, from another guy etc. then that doesn't mean anything since again there is no proof. The last time Barb was mentioned in relation to Chris was in this jail letter back in November 2021

Since then nothing else, aside from some images here and there of the temple that people have posted and recently Chris blabering about how Barb pulled sexy time card years ago and this situation was all her fault.

There's no way Barb can will the house to Chris for several reasons:

1. Establishing wills cost money, which is something Barb has little of (she still 'paying' off her personal debt) or has none of.
2. There was a point in time when the house was virtually Chris' (according to Bob's will), but since Barb took a mortgage out on it, the bank owns 14 BLC now.

You're pretty much spot on with the rest - Chris is awful with money and will be lucky enough to manage it within a week, if he decides to give up due to laziness.
Alternate scenario: Chris keeps the house, but phases out Barb's hoard with his own toys, taking over the house.

Not sure if it belongs here but a Chris Chan group on FB had a member state they were at 14 BC and it was empty, day time (1pm), didn't even hear a dog.
Which means that either way 14 BLC is abandoned. Which means that left unchecked it’s probably going to be full of dead animals when the bank inevitably drops by in the near future.
