I think the ultimate indictment on modern Unionaboos (is that a real term? It is now) when it comes to the Civil War is that actual soldiers who were hurt, killed, or watched their friends die were not only able to find common ground, but actively supported and respected each other for decades after the fighting stopped.

I can guarantee that none of the people posting "My ancestors beat your ancestors/you support losers" garbage have never faced a fifth of the danger, inner turmoil, and suffering that those guys did, and even they could shake each others hands, respect one another and the causes they fought for.
