Rental laws come under provincial jurisdiction & Ontario's are way too tenant leaning. No security deposits allowed, can't ban pets & certain questions will get "professional tenants" running to Human Rights tribunals claiming they've been emotionally traumatized & yes, evictions can take forever.
Quebec's are only marginally better.
I wouldn't rent to myself under those laws, never mind Chantal...lol

You're dead on. The only way Chantal would put in a modicum of "effort" into her channel is because she's broke and these low views are threatening her hedonistic, under-achieving lifestyle.
Point is people were getting bored (haydurs and VIBs) and tuning out, I don't believe the Nader era is fabricated, but she's definitely leaning more into drama. Chantal is an idiot, but even she can understand that views = money.

That seems like the most logical explanation, since that's why she had to get Peetz to put his name on the lease of their current apartment. What's remarkable to me is that Chantal has had two years to fix her credit, and this past year likely making significantly more money than she has ever made in her life, and she's still no better off today financially than she was at the end of the Bibi era.
