In his field of cybersecurity, you can make a lot of money while still acting like an incel/basement dweller just due to the types of people who study those jobs. Just in my university, most of the computer science or engineering majors were either weebs, loved video games (all of the ones I know played League), and were usually an incel/unfuckable with zero social skills.

OIC is in his early 30s as he's close to the same age as @marlintan , who was born in 1989. He doesn't have a large inheritance (or one in general) as he worked in fast food while in high school nor does he live with his parents. He lives with some roommate in a small apartment in Seattle though of course, he's now working in the middle east (this is confirmed and isn't speculation). I never ask him about Phil when we did VC. I would just talk about mundane things nor would I make an attempt to ask him why he'd spend that much. To me, it doesn't matter how much he spends as it's his money and we all know where it's going. As far as I'm concerned, he can spend as much as he wants to where he'll end up like Timbo. The interview sort of answers your questions as Proper was the one who grilled him about those questions and went into it. OIC denies being made a bitch but that's just him coping that he didn't just get humiliated in front of detractors.

But our VCs rarely had me asking him much of anything and it would be OIC who initiated nearly all of the conversations. It would be about Anony, video games, school, work, Fehu, etc. I never cared nor attempted to pry information out of him. Any attempt would just be him giving unenlightened answer like "I got in too deep" or "Yeah, I feel bad I guess". For the most part, OIC is a boring individual but what makes him interesting is how boring Phil is and how he has to make sock accounts to argue with himself or others on places like kiwifarms.

OIC, I believe, has an ego where he truly believes that he is above the people who shit on him, track his every move, etc. He has this job where he makes decent money but like Phil with his gacha, he's pissing it away on Phil and if it wasn't Phil, then it would be on someone else or just more money for those titty streamers. This is probably me way over analyzing it, but I don't think donating to some e-thot has the same "hero" appeal. E-thots don't frame themselves as victims like Phil does. They can't pretend they're swooping in to save them from mean bullies like they can with Phil. Plus, with e-thots, they're just a dime a dozen donator. Sure, they might thank them or whatever, but it's harder to convince yourself you're actually making any sort of difference when so many other people are throwing money.

With Phil, we've always seen that his paypigs, with a few exceptions, tend to wait for the reign of other paypigs to be over so they can be the hero. It's something Phil has even commented on himself in the past, that's why he used to be so adverse to goals.

Wouldn't surprise me. It's also entirely possible he's just really shitty in social situations. I don't think it's a stretch to say he's incredibly insecure given how much he brags about the gym and tries to make up details about his life to make him seem even remotely successful. He's actually a lot like Phil in that regard. That being said, in my conversations with him, he has often openly shat on Phil and his fanbase though I believe it's him just coping. However, he is a proven liar and everything which he says has to be taken with a grain of salt.

I highly, HIGHLY doubt he has some kind of high speed government contracting job that sends him to different countries. If he was, he wouldn't be obsessed with all this stupid shit and he'd be focused on his career. Plus, I don't know if he could pass the psych eval, unless he's just a construction worker. I mean, wouldn't moving make him lonelier and more desperate for Phil's attention? I think if he had a friend from work (or anywhere else) he could hyperfixate on them instead. I don't think he'd prioritize being in Phil's stream over having actual RL interaction with someone, especially if said someone was being nice to him. Granted, I think he could be overly clingly and quickly kill that friendship. Maybe a gym buddy is a better example?
