1000% Phil has never sold any of his electronics including his DVDs/Blu-Rays, and here’s how I can be sure.

I can think of three general ways one can ditch discs for cash, all three of which I’ve had to use to make rent (thanks Obama): selling online, selling to a pawnshop/second-hand store, and selling on Craigslist or other similar service. Let’s break them all down.

Phil has bitched time and again about why selling things online is a bad idea, specifically citing the potential for trolls of get his personal information (which I can only assume he means his address, and being that Phil reads the Farms daily he’d know that we got that info years ago), and the “exorbitant” shipping costs. He’d also have to package, address, and arrange parcel pickups. He’s not doing that, Kat’s not doing that, and Jasper doesn’t have opposable thumbs. So that’s one down.

Hocking them at a secondhand store would require Phil to box all of them up, drive to a place he’s never been to (a place that he would also certainly view as “low class” and therefore equivalent to walking through the south side of Chicago naked wearing a sign that says “I HATE NIGGERS”), and then stand there while each disc is inspected for damage. He’s not doing that, Kat’s not doing that, and Jasper only has his learner’s. Next.

Selling them on Craigslist would involved creating a post for them, photographing them (this could be done easily with just one or two depending on how many he intended to sell, but it’d require some work to lay them out) and then, probably worst of all the options, meet strangers face-to-face to manage the sale. Phil would never, ever, do this, because the first sale he made would undoubtedly be some detractor looking to beat his ass or OIC looking to fuck him and then wear his skin.

I absolutely guarantee that Media Mountain has only grown since he claimed to have sold some of them (which I believe was the bankruptcy) and this is a primary reason why we have not gotten a glimpse of the Wakhando in years.
In 2019 he claimed he sold about half of his collection to pay "bills" and then this month said he only really has a few Christmas and Halloween themed movies, a "small collection."

Of course it should all be taken with a grain of salt, but I can see him going the laziest route and hocking them for quick cash, seeing that he's an addict with a wife who refuses to watch anything Phil enjoys.

That said, no condo tour in YEARS so I'm probably wrong.

Rambo seemed like a pretty smart dude.
Speaking of which, let's not forget this exists.

"I'm pissy because I'm having a good time with the game! Makes me pissy!" [babyrage sounds] "Ack ack ack!"

He thinks he's being cute with this shit, like he's a comedian or something. Actually disgusting.
Joking about hating having to interrupt the game and beg because enough people didn't give him money of their own accord. He's pissy because you didn't give him what he wants. Give him what he wants NOW.

Get a fucking job you 40 year old leech on society.

This is all assuming Phil told the truth, which is already a pretty big if. But just for speculation, let's assume he did actually get rid of his collection. I'd go so far as to say he doesn't sell it at all, but instead throws it away. Like you said, he'd go the laziest route, and throwing them away is not only the laziest, but avoids having to interact with people. As others pointed out, if Phil is too afraid to go to Walmart, it doesn't seem like a stretch that he'd be too afraid to go to a pawn shop.

We also have plenty of evidence of Phil choosing to throw away/actively lose money. Condo being the biggest example. Granted it isn't exactly a direct 1:1, but I think him being unwilling to get on the phone with a company to rent it out and handle the business side of things speaks to the volumes of Phil's laziness. And, again, Phil sat on this for years actively losing money, definitely way more than he'd lose by not hawking his DVD collection.

But taking off the tinfoil speculation hat, Phil also has a history of blatantly lying about getting rid of things, as well as being a hoarder. Going back to tinfoil hat, we've always suspected he doesn't do house tours and is so selective about what we see because he doesn't want us calling out all the valuable crap he has in his home. In general, Phil also seems to cling to the past pretty bad so the idea of him willingly getting rid of stuff seems unlikely. And with all we know about his finances, we know the "bills" excuse is garbage. Maybe there's an argument for him selling stuff for more gacha pills, but I don't think he's quite hit that level of gambling desperation. Again, mostly because we know his finances and know he's already getting enough to support his pulls.

There's no way Phil sold all his DVDs to a pawn shop. The pawn shop sells DVDs for like a dollar. That means they're buying them for probably a quarter or fifty cents. Do you really think this guy would sell his DVD collection for fifty bucks? He didn't want to rent out his condo because the rental company would take a cut. Phil was never that desperate for money, we saw in his bankruptcy papers that he was spending $5000 a month on business microtransactions aka gatcha.

I'm betting he still has all his movies and he probably buys new ones every week when he goes shopping.

Tweets while making baby noises. Then an immiediate tip. I refuse to believe they were just on Twitter.
The beggar has spoken WHHEEEE
Jesus Christ that clip
Audience asked for the game and he loves it so much that he's abandoning it because not enough tips.

So it is in fact ALL ABOUT THAT.
Gamer Phil is having a good time, having a good game however DSPEnterprises needs to pay the bills. IT'S BEGGIN TIME.
Wish they wouldn't succumb to the first plead he does with the tweet. This just gives him the idea that this works and now we dont get the build up and seething that happens when he's frozen with tips.
It's about him debasing himself on stream, not the actual Tweet. Funnily enough trolls can reverse psychology him into not sending a tweet too so it does work both ways.

Pacman was great, support could have been better but he's "pleased with variety" (whatever that means) and gonna play it more on nightstreams. Chill gamer Phil won, for now. Uncharted support was actually pretty good, tips in particular, not bad at all for a retro game. 2 fun sessions, support was decent, that's what he's looking for. So $143 a day is actually fine. Give money in all the ways, thank you in advance.

I'm definitely being a bit naive to take Phil at his word, even a little, that he sold most of his collection, but on the flipside I don't believe he's buying more each week.

Personally I think he's a philistine (lol) and, beyond chasing nostalgia, has zero interest in anything related to the arts. I highly doubt that he's buying more movies.

I'd wager he kept his favorites (Ghostbusters, Lion King etc) and traded in everything else for like $2 per DVD/$3 per blu ray and made a lazy couple of hundred dollars.

He's such an uninteresting fence-riding retard that I'm not sure what purpose a movie collection has for him. Seemed more like a result of his peak consoomer days when he had more money than he knew what to do with. Statues, movies, TV series collections, dumb framed artwork, collector's edition games...

These days he's much more particular about how he consooms; gacha, DoorDash and Total Wine.

but on the flipside I don't believe he's buying more each week.
Blu-rays are one of my guesses for how he manages to spend so goddamn much at Fred Meyer every week. He probably wastes a lot of food, but that alone doesn't seem like it could cover his spend, unless he flushes uneaten wagyu steaks down the toilet.

"I don't know how I am going to pay for stuff"

Yeah that sucks Phil, but they don't have anymore money to give you...soooo cry more?

Down the toilet? Don't be ridiculous. The only legally approved way to dispose of food in Washington State is to shove it down the garbage disposal.

Interesting. I thought the most plausible theory was iTunes cards?

So it is in fact ALL ABOUT THAT.
Can't find the clip but DSP has become what he accused other content creators "They are not doing because they love it they don't have a passion for it they do it for this *rubs fingers*
Just a bit more and he might acknowledge he has a problem

Interesting. I thought the most plausible theory was iTunes cards?
Could be, didn't he have a whole stack of apple itunes gift cards that he got given to him at some point and then one day he immediately used all of them up in some game? He said this in one of his stories, so he's no stranger to using them for purchases it seems.

We know from the bank leaks that he was making constant transactions from the itunes store, so that ties it directly into the champions spending. I wouldn't rule out him buying gift cards as well, but if he's doing it we know it's not the only thing that's fuelling his gacha/gambling addiction.

Whenever a topic about his spending pops up, we can only draw upon hard evidence such as all his earnings in the spreadsheet and a guess-estimation on his spending habits now that the banks leaks have happened some time ago (but we know enough to draw a pattern in his habits). We're still missing a piece of the puzzle by not knowing too much about his paypal activity, from memory and what people here have said he actually has two paypal accounts, one for when the paypigs deposit their dent head checks and the other for something else.

I’m sorry, but what is this faux “trying to actually act engaging with the audience “ over fucking PAC-MAN of all games?

It’s Pac-Man. One of the simplest and now really outdated games. Did Reddit really burn him that bad where he’s trying to put up a facade of a “trve vidyagame” streamer? It’s so weird to listen to after months of toxicity with regular games.

I'd be open to believing any of this if he even had any knowledge of movies whatsoever. He doesn't even know movie names. All he can have a convo about when it comes to movies, is mainstream Bill Murray movies from the 80s (Ghostbusters & Groundhog Day) and some other shit that came out before Khet was even born.
I don't know who's dumber, Phil for saying that his GPU is "dead" and has been for a while and he knows because "he hasn't used it" in his day-to-day usage of the PC, or the dents for buying this bullshit.
What makes it funnier is that the GPU conspiracy stems from some random dent in chat who was like "Hey Phil maybe your GPU is dying bro idk".

Then DSP takes that random suggestion as a solid fact because it suits his PC begging narrative, and keeps going with it, making all these outlandish, contrived and straight up illogical and invalid assumptions just to beg.

I'd say that the gacha, DoorDash and Total Wine are just the three things that are currently the most front-facing when it comes to his spending addiction. That's why I also don't think that his gambling addiction is his "main" addiction but just a symptom of his spending addiction. Like how @Funko Pops NFT collector said he would often by mistake buy movies that he already owned. He doesn't even care about consooming at the end of the day, just hoarding and spending. All the things you've mentioned like the vidya artwork, statues and collector's editions he bought just so that it could take up space in his khando and so that money wouldn't burn a hole in his pocket, he didn't really give a shit if the gamer statue he bought was from a game he liked or even played.

Back when he did khando tours people would also spot the overpriced gizmos and knickknacks he would buy that he didn't need. The Guy just loves spending every single cent he gets and he's been that way for decades.
