In 2019 he claimed he sold about half of his collection to pay "bills" and then this month said he only really has a few Christmas and Halloween themed movies, a "small collection."1000% Phil has never sold any of his electronics including his DVDs/Blu-Rays, and here’s how I can be sure.
I can think of three general ways one can ditch discs for cash, all three of which I’ve had to use to make rent (thanks Obama): selling online, selling to a pawnshop/second-hand store, and selling on Craigslist or other similar service. Let’s break them all down.
Phil has bitched time and again about why selling things online is a bad idea, specifically citing the potential for trolls of get his personal information (which I can only assume he means his address, and being that Phil reads the Farms daily he’d know that we got that info years ago), and the “exorbitant” shipping costs. He’d also have to package, address, and arrange parcel pickups. He’s not doing that, Kat’s not doing that, and Jasper doesn’t have opposable thumbs. So that’s one down.
Hocking them at a secondhand store would require Phil to box all of them up, drive to a place he’s never been to (a place that he would also certainly view as “low class” and therefore equivalent to walking through the south side of Chicago naked wearing a sign that says “I HATE NIGGERS”), and then stand there while each disc is inspected for damage. He’s not doing that, Kat’s not doing that, and Jasper only has his learner’s. Next.
Selling them on Craigslist would involved creating a post for them, photographing them (this could be done easily with just one or two depending on how many he intended to sell, but it’d require some work to lay them out) and then, probably worst of all the options, meet strangers face-to-face to manage the sale. Phil would never, ever, do this, because the first sale he made would undoubtedly be some detractor looking to beat his ass or OIC looking to fuck him and then wear his skin.
I absolutely guarantee that Media Mountain has only grown since he claimed to have sold some of them (which I believe was the bankruptcy) and this is a primary reason why we have not gotten a glimpse of the Wakhando in years.
Of course it should all be taken with a grain of salt, but I can see him going the laziest route and hocking them for quick cash, seeing that he's an addict with a wife who refuses to watch anything Phil enjoys.
That said, no condo tour in YEARS so I'm probably wrong.
