Different strokes for different folks and all but I'm not sure that someone who is actually happy has to tell you every second of his life that he is totally happy you guys, why are you guys doubting me? I'm gonna make the same comparison I already made a 100 times but Phil is the embodiment of Nietzsche's Last Man. A shallow person who cares only about two things - security and comfort. A man devoid of any ambition, any spirituality, any principles and thus (hehe) has no real personal ethics or convictions beyond what's gonna get him the most gacha, Doordash and Total Wine money. That's what keeps him happy.

Unrelated to the Last Man comparison, he is also extremely self-deluded and I do think he is capable of realizing how empty his life is, you can always tell which things make him unhappy because they make him seethe, like the LSF reddit post that our boy @Piece of Peace made. It shattered Phil's image of da trollz being a minority which are confined to their ghettoes like KF, he realizes that his "silent majority" cope of the wider internet that loves him doesn't exist and that he's a complete laughingstock. Then he takes another swig of gin and this moment of self-reflection which he calls "depression" passes.

So to conclude the only time he is unhappy is in those brief moments where he realizes how empty his life is, that's when "muh depression" kicks in. For most of the time he is more than happy just being a lazy wasteful bum who consooms food, alcohol and gacha pulls without pausing for thought.

People are saying he is unhappy as Phil is debasing himself to beg online for a living. This would make a regular person unhappy... But Phil isn't normal.

I have a friend who went through some financial difficulties during a divorce. He once went 3 days without food because he had nothing, it was only at this point did he ask for help from me and this is someone I've known since I was 4. This is what regular people are like, people who have regular jobs realise how hard it is to get money so when they need to ask for it they realise they are essentially asking for a lot. It's not $50 to them, they see several hours of you working to then give it away.

Phil doesn't have that problem. This retard makes $10k a month and thinks he's struggling. He has no memory of what it's like to have a real job and how many hours you have to grind for just $100 on minimum wage. Add in the fact he's been begging multiple times an hour for tips this feeling of shame is going to wear off quick.

He doesn't feel anything. He doesn't have a real job, he doesn't even know anyone who has a real job. He has no idea what it's like, he really is living in a different world of first world problems. You can see this when he talks about his integrations with regular people too:

• Complaining his gig economy delivery driver used the wrong entrance to his gated community
• Damage car tyre = $100's to fix
• Broken shower knob = $1000
• Months of crying about burger king using too much sauce
• Making fun of an old guy in a shoe store who didn't know how to use his credit card

He's lost all sense of reality.

mmm. saw some complaints about how much this subforum sucks dick because everything is in the main thread, which i don't exactly disagree with.

would it be reasonable to start making threads for each individual playthrough he does to organize that better? only problem with that is then i don't know what the point of the main thread would be.

i just do think it's vaguely annoying that everything gets lost here like tears in the shower. for example, if i hadn't been here on that day i legit would've never known phil played outerwilds. never saw his vids, don't check his twitter and it was only posted about like, 6 times.

the divinity thread worked out well, sifu thread may've done good too. just food for thought, i suppose.

He has regularly said that having to sell the wahkahndo would mean the detractors have won. He openly admitted during the bankruptcy that if he was ordered to sell it under chapter 7, he would've changed it to chapter 13 just to keep it.

This is a debunk on Phil's claim that Raid wanted to pay him a shitload of money, they ask you to tell them how much you want, not the other way around.

Given he claims his offer was over a year old, things could have been different but I remember streamers I watched in the past said the same thing where they just gave them some absurd number to see if they accepted it or not.

I don't know mate, were Rambo and Howard really his friends or were they some early version of wheelchairs that he used? He barely paid them, they drove him around, carried his stuff around and helped him make money. Sounds like his mods these days if you ask me.

Sreaming is his job though. Many people hate their job yet still do it and deal with it because the pay is worth it.

I don't think he is happy. He bites his nails regularly and as soon as someone mentions (or trolls) that tips aren't working he is visibly panicking. This to me is someone who is dealing with insane amount of anxiety. I don't think someone who's this anxious is happy.

Literally what my mind went to the first time I saw it. You just would like to think it wasn't possible for anyone to do something so soulless to someone that once called a friend. I was thinking of moving daily wraps to a separate thread, possibly the same with prestreams. Main threads would still be good for random clips and calling him gay.

But think something like:
- Main thread
- Prestream (a lot seems to happen in chat room anyway)
- Bullshit tweets (might include begging tweets, idk)
- Playthroughs
- Daily Wrap
