A big reason for Metakur's popularity is his voice. He's got a good radio-quality voice. Strangely, no one ever brings it up whether for or against the man, but that's why he stands out from most streaming e-celebrities. Without knowing anything about his background, I'd guess extensive formal training, maybe as a communications/broadcasting major in college. There are thousands of trained professionals just like him out there making a very good living doing legitimate commercial voice work, but even if the cancer doesn't kill him, I can safely guarantee a guy best known for Gamergate and the 'We Wuz Kangz' video won't be one of them.
