To think that 5 years ago, Idubbbz went over to Jinx and challenged him to a fight when both of them were still rakes. If Jinx had accepted, this charity midlife crisis might never have happened.
I mean...the insistence in fighting Pewdiepie (before he made it clear it was Jake Paul) is almost desperate. After apparently finding it too difficult to concede losing to a man that was obviously in better shape (not to mention better groomed) he's going to invite comparisons to the top dog of his profession, also obviously a man in better shape, who's just moved to the other side of the world to get on with his own successful married life.
Idubbbz seems to think that the strategy for reclaiming his reputation as a badass comes from not backing down, admitting real fault or showing weakness, which is not something he had to do before Cuckgate - and it might have worked, but now he's expended his cloak of irony by insisting it was completely normal that his fiancee was making a living guillotining her vagina with duct tape, he looks like he's just being petty and vindictive when he may not realise it. I don't think he really understood how much that myth of the untouchable, dispassionate jokester of infinite self-effacing ironies was such a huge part of his mystique and protected him from his own awkward behavior, and he just tried to avoid dispelling it by not reacting to criticism or just being an irreverent meme. I think we, the audience, were inadvertently part of the act, thinking we saw a nod and a wink, a glint in the eye, a game of 5D chess that was never actually there. I think that's why quite a few of us thought the Anisa saga was a long term prank.
In that light, Idubbbz is probably convinced looking horrendous is part of his image, but without the irony it just looks gross, but Anisa's 'job' is looking unironically good, the prime directive of all heterosexual women, and it's just not happening.
Why can't she lose more weight, then just copy this lady. Isn't that what she's good at?
