Not much to say this month, except some figures got a little screwed by there being a fifth Monday in May; other than that things have pretty much carried on as expected.

I guess one thing worth noting is this might be the first month where Jim hasn't had a single video crack 200k views, an especially impressive feat given he had 5 rolls of the dice instead of the usual 4.

to be fair, i definitely am guilty of the latter. i've only ever unsubscribed in a handful of situations and they're all because the person in question pissed me off somehow.

to be fair, i definitely am guilty of the latter. i've only ever unsubscribed in a handful of situations and they're all because the person in question pissed me off somehow.

It's actually not uncommon for views to be drastically lower than subs, and I think a lot of factors play into it. Depending on the platform you use YouTube is really shitty at showing you new content from channels you subscribe to, you might only sub for certain content and ignore the rest, the content in question may have gone downhill over time (or you just lost interest) but ignore rather than unsub, and of course there is undoubtedly a large share of dead accounts. Jim's been at this for nearly a decade now; that's a huge window of time for people to simply abandon their accounts.

To me, what is far more curious is the people consistently, actively unsubscribing from him. I have never seen sustained losses like this before, and I'm not sure how Jim is managing it. You'd think people would unsub in mass clumps and that'd be that, with periodic drops here and there, but it just keeps ticking away week after week.

Actually, let me remind you of the characteristics of the man who holds and shows these views:

• Sex Addict: During his Lootbox era, Jim would bring up how you can be addicted to several things, with sex addiction being one of the more commonly cited one. Given his depraved nature, I'd be legit shocked if he wasn't.
• Food Addict: You don't self-strain yourself to being 200+ pounds overweight, let's put it that way.
• Spending Addict: Jim is a hoarder and has admitted so. He brings up he has lots of useless junk that, and I quote: "I don't need but I'm not selling it because it's mine and you can't have it."
• Mental Illness Maybe: Jim Sterling's mush brain might very well have disabilities. But rather than taking action to deal with them, blames everyone else for playing into them.
• Broken Relationships: Left [by] his wife. Claims to be in a poly relationship yet still has to go to gay bars to hit on/be hit on by people. Despite having multiple partners, has fewer stories to share than literally any traditional couple on the internet does (seriously, compare Jim's "Poly Brags" with literally any Husband/Wife or Boyfriend/Girlfriend reaction channel and you'll see a night and day difference)
• Rich In Poverty: Despite making more money than most first-class citizens and being free from the very real problems facing most of the world, the dude is miserable. No, seriously. There are people in Ukraine right now looking after their personal gardens, still going to church, and trying to actually live while this man has the audacity to claim his first-world-government is trying to genocide trans people by not letting kids play along until they're old enough to understand long-term ramifications.

These look like 2 cashcows, 38 bucks each. I was kind of assuming that this was a case of 2 bucks a patreon but if very well might be a few 20+ buck holdouts. I know it is still over 120,000+ a year, but the thing is that these streamers/youtubers do not plan for the future. They are in their 20s, young, become famous, then become irrelevant. They never work a proper job and don't realize they aren't actors, only a small few become big hits. Jim surely has not planned for the future and will be a miserable troon with no experience outside "video game capitalist"

I think I may have spoke about this already, but Jim and other Patreon leeches are in for a shock when the economy dives into whatever depressed state its approaching here. Its easy to rake in this sort of money off the back of a wild explosion in wealth and speculative value, but when shit gets tough, a lot of this voluntary spending ceases as people tighten their belts. The whole "Support a Creator" ecosystem is going to have a very hard shock when a very large amount of money stops rolling in, and people collecting outsized revenue for shit output like Jim will be at the forefront of that loss.

The dream result would be an actual death of Patreon themselves - who have made it clear they're interested in collecting their fairly significant cut to fund ideological bullshit and stuff nobody needs instead of just acting as a middleman platform. Seriously, they're aiming to pass a thousand employees this year, for a glorified blogging platform with a payment system attached. Of which, less than half are engineering and tech staff. This bloated beast can't die soon enough.

You can see the back of his corset at the beginning of his video, and at best it is as tight as it goes as you say, at worst it's barely a functional corset, let alone a steel-reinforced one meant to truly squish the waist. The simple fact it is so obviously made to be worn on top of clothes says to me that it's unlikely to be meant to constrict anything all that much, it's ornamental.

You  can just use PayPal, but it makes you choose a card for regular payments, I think you can select it so it uses your PayPal balance first if you have any.

Yeah, my favourite game store got took over in much the same way. Go down play a bit of WH/40k/DnD with mates and have a chill time. Then  those kinds started coming. The ones that wanted a discussion about representation in your game or how this parallels event x or y in the news. If you told them to fuck off they went crying to the shop owner you were excluding them for being a woman/gay/other group and the owner would force you to play with them while they sperged all over your game.

Eventually everyone else just stopped coming and now it's a huge of danger hairs and troons crying about politics with zero actual gaming. I'm sure the owner is sat looking at his dwindling accounts blaming us bigots for it too.
