For the most part, store brand is the exact same ingredients and quality in America. Phils such a sheep he thinks the brand itself makes the product better.
He can go to a dollar store and get the same cherry juice, or buy cherry supplement, or well......eat cherries.
I can concur store brand is literally just the cheapened down version of said other big brands, and some store branded ones, even the discount basic necessities are probably better off since you can essentially buy more in bulk and prep for family meals and stuff or just to keep as a "just in case"...
I go for the daily discounts on shelves that are nearly out of date use wise and look at the differences to see if said food is freezeworthy especially cooking from frozen too, they last for months on end and are a reminder that saving food instead of wasting helps your wallet as well as economy...
Whatever Phil does in complaining about store brand is that he thinks as a middle-class bum he deserves the expense and kwalitee food but dipshit wastes it purely because he can and will shove more money down a perpetual black hole rather than help his situation
Which is laughable because it will come bite him due to the rise of costs and such...
