What is objectively the best Assassin's Creed? - Incluiding own Trilogys (like Ezio's one)

Assassin's Creed II probably because Ezio was amazing, and closely followed by AC IV, because it was genuinely a good game despite going heavily away from the narrative. Valhalla would be on the third spot for me because it's been years since I am having this much fun with an Assassin's Creed title.

i liked the ones i got for free after that stupid church burned down and then something something london stabbing i think? i forget why the second one was free.

The main thing I liked about the franchise all that time ago when it started was the recreation of the cities. No other games let you explore Renaissance Italy or even 18th century Paris.
This was thrown out of the window over time. The story was always retarded historical fiction, but it didn't seep into the recreation of the world too much, which was kept somewhat historically accurate.
That began to go out the window with Syndicate, where the devs blatantly pushed their politics into it. You even work for Karl Marx in that, there is a troon side character, London street gangs have loads of female thugs, etc.
Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla began to completely fling any historical accuracy out the window, so I had no reason to play anymore.

I only finished third one And by that I mean I ignored all copy pasted side "content" and rushed story missions.
Other AC games I played are Black flag ship and naval stuff was kinda Fun rest was boring as hell. And Syndicate that I played for 90 minutes before I got bored.

Objectively, they're all poo, but I like poo, so I've played pretty much the entire series. The first one had the best story. Odyssey has the best gameplay. 2 has the best setting. But overall, my favorite is Brotherhood, which still has the most banging soundtrack of any game set in 1500's Rome.

If we're counting 2/Brotherhood/Revelations as one, then that's the best one overall. Black Flag is probably second best and what I would pick to go back and replay. III/Rogue are enjoyable. Unity was OK but they locked key historical moments behind co-op missions so good luck completing everything now. I was pleasantly surprised by Origins, it actually felt like an AC game and the woke bs was barely there. Odyssey was barely pretending to be an AC game and felt like it simultaneously had too much and nothing to do in the world.

AC: Brotherhood was my favorite. I liked the setting of Rome and the whacky inventions of Leonardo. Having control over other assassins and the expanded weapons were fun additions.

Black Flag. The only thing I disliked about it was the fact it was an Assassins Creed game, hence we must regularly break away from the swashbuckling pirate action to walk around an office with your ipad for 30 minutes at a time. If it was it's own thing without the AC fluff and tropes, it would be among my favourite games.

2 is the classic choice and probably the one i'd go for overall, but I also have a soft spot for Origins. You don't see an ancient Egyptian setting in games too often and they absolutely nailed it. Climbing the pyramids and doing that synchronization thing felt made for each other.
