What is objectively the best Assassin's Creed? - Incluiding own Trilogys (like Ezio's one)

I'd say it was AC II, its the game that caused the franchaise to go mainstream and we began to get yearly releases, Ezio is a great character and the setting was really good, Brotherhood is probably the second best in that regard.
AC IV is a good game but its not really an Assassins Creed game, pretty much everyone agrees that what made it great is the fact that its more of a pirate game than an AC game.
I really liked Odyssey but that game is the least AC game of all imo, and only has the name so people would buy it.

Black Flag, I even liked the office stuff as a taste breaker from the pirating.

The funniest thing about Black Flag for me was when they announced it and hyped collecting sea shanties. Laaaame. Que me actually playing the game: "ooh, a new sea shanty, can't wait to get out on the sea and try it out" Now I'm the lame one...

2 is the classic choice and probably the one i'd go for overall, but I also have a soft spot for Origins. You don't see an ancient Egyptian setting in games too often and they absolutely nailed it. Climbing the pyramids and doing that synchronization thing felt made for each other.
I loved that they took full advantage of Egypt having thousands of years of history plus actual tombs and monuments to break into. I also liked how the map was set up with the modern Greco-Roman Alexandria at the very top and cities getting older as you head south with the ancient precursor city buried in the desert at the very bottom.

Black Flag was barely an AC game because they had just wrapped up the 2012 apocalypse/Desmond plot line with III and were trying to figure out where to go next so we got the "sages".

I think after 3 they should have dropped the "present day" plot all together, like you said they never really knew where to go, and besides if you are only playing the games, then the modern plot makes little sense as plot points are introduced in one game and seemingly dropped in the other, because instead they are solved in books and shit

Black Flags was probably one of the greatest feelings I ever had growing up, you could cut out the land combat and rename it "Pirates of the Caribbean Simulator" and it would've been loyal to the title as well, so I will say that. Though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't having fun with the more recent titles like Odyssey.

Brotherhood by miles and miles. The Borgias just make it perfection. Flags of Rome or whatever its called is a bop. And the assassin's you hire are great too. Little touches like those. Also its Ezio's best look.
I like AC2 the most, but I do agree that Ezio's outfit in Brotherhood was awesome. I wish Altair's armor could have been rebuilt with ACB's clothing style, that would have been great.
