Mega Rad Gun Thread

FN has announced the ugliest fucking pistol ever with a completely new style of magazine release that is at this moment exclusively made for European LE and Mil groups.
Continuing their modern tradition of overpriced, mediocre polymer handguns with baffling prices. More grip texture is nice, but they remove a chunk to accommodate the mutant mag release

Well, the fuckery happened in Canada. Full handgun ban, and looking like a ban on any magazine over 5 rounds, even lever/bolt/pump, effectively banning practically every rifle other than single shot. Will not comply, but I've never felt like fleeing the country more.
Stop talking about that here. Hope I don't have to hear about you on the news and that it goes well if I do.

This is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. I hate it so much.
I don't know if I get the hate. It seems like a pretty standard striker gun with a particularly high beavertail on the grip (no bad thing, imo) and a weird mag release. The original Beretta APX was far uglier than this thing.

As far as ugliness goes, nothing beats the Barak IMO. The fact that that thing was made by the same company that created the Jericho baffles me:

Yeah what has FN been up to?

I got myself 10 cetmeL mags (fit AR just need a different top to hold bolt open) and 2 ammo cans for 80 bucks.

Also drunk bought those s&w air weight parts kit because why would I not? Tbh never did a wheel gun build I fear might be over my head.

Building Army and USMC contract M4s. Though that gravy train is coming to an end with the Army going Sig and the Marine Corps going H&K.

Do they allow a longer overall length like an HK steel mag? Some day I will build my 6X45 AR and while the plan is to stick to lighter buillet weights, it would be nice to be able to magfeed the odd 95-107gr without spending whatever HK charges for theirs.

When they get here I'll try to measure and stuff other boolits in it maybe someone knows off hand tho.

They probably didn't really need that contract like Sig did; aside from already supplying the US with MGs, there exists enough foreign demand for new sales, along with parts/services for guns already in circulation.

Although the US leaving so many FNs laying around in places like Afghanistan will certainly dent the monopoly FN has/had on parts for those guns.
HiPers for Gun Tube Hypebeasts
From all the language included in that press-release, I'd have thought internet hypebeasts were the primary customer. And that FN had to disclaim that it's meant for military & police tells me that only hypebeasts will buy them, and that some will have badges.

How does Giselle compare to Daniel Defense?
They make some nice stuff(triggers, handguards etc). They also love to cut corners and cheap out on things like barrel coatings.
For whatever it is worth, Geissle supplies URGI Uppers to SOCOM, Not DD.
iirc the (military contract) urgi uppers use DD barrels and Geissle uppers/handguards.
