Nice clip showing how desu wa is spreading amongst non-JP Niji livers. Zea talking about how watching Salome gives her a feeling of "the old fire" back when she first started watching vtubers is intersting, since I think it kinda gets at a big part of Salome's success.

Speaking of Zea, she did a stream on parasocial relationships, bringing up both the positive and negatives of such things. Much of the information is rather basic (as to be expected), but it's nice seeing a vtuber talk about such a loaded word in this way, as most either ignore it altogether or simple say "parasocial bad" without any nuance (like Finana a few days ago).

I'm assuming you are referring to the total superchatted count in Playboard. Then I would like to remind you that the count is biased against those who debuted later since it start the aggregation from January 2020 onward, and we all know when Myth debutted.

They've known each other for a long time now since her days as Lyrica. I wasn't there but I'm pretty sure several of the old community members got screenshots. Speaking of company regulations...

Is it okay for corpo vtubers to be YouTube chat moderators of other corpo or indie vtubers? It's probably just courtesy or for the luls. But I haven't heard any buzz concerning that. On second thought, as long as the corpo vtuber that has been given the wrench isn't a dedicated mod for the other corpo or indie vtuber, I guess it should be fine?

I know that indies do it on other indies they know so that they can have their messages pop up and stand out from the sea of shit. Im pretty sure I have seen Moona and Ollie moded on some other channels but I don't remember who exactly. Could just be another benefit HoloID gets.

The person I was replying to brought up Top 25, I was just saying that she would definitely climb a few ranks higher had the count started after her debut.

I obviously know that Gura has never been huge on SC count, doesn't change the fact that the way the ranking is done is working against her. Though I'm still impressed how close she is to Kiara considering the latter basically spent like half of her streaming time on SC reading.

I also don't see why you brought up the names you did though. Lamy and Chloe specifically are already known to top SC ranking and they would definitively rank higher too if the SC count started after their debut. UPDATE: Scratch that, Chloe is literally their top (or close second) SC earner for the past few months, but according to the chart, she is at "merely" rank 30+, see what I mean?

People meme about it but I think Gura's audience is probably relatively young. That combined with lots of deadsubs (not a knock against her, bigger Youtubers pretty much always get more deadsubs) and probably more VOD-only viewers (who are less likely to superchat) means that she makes less than one might expect in SCs.

My apologize, I was going by this, but it seems like I somehow missed the second part of that statement.

In any case, I would argue that pre-2020, Hololive weren't that popular yet, so the average SC count they received is much lower too. Aqua, for example got double the amount of SC in 2020 compared to 2019. ( I can't even even find their SC count for 2018 so I assume it's not tracked)

Update: Just did some small research, Playboard the site started at early 2020, SC count before that would be counted based on VODs, reminder that many of Hololives old VODs were privated and most of them still remain privated to this day, so that means that SC count before 2020 would be inaccurate as well.

The fact that she is still below Gura at this moment proofs my point, no? It has been common knowledge that she is Hololive top SC earner for the last few months, competing with the likes of Rushia and Coco prior to their departure, yet according to the chart she is "only at rank 30+". Also, Chloe is a special case for reasons mentioned before, but what about her genmates? Iroha is at rank 64 while Lui is at rank 145, do you think their actual ranking is that low?

EDIT: I should have bring up this example earlier. If you look at the SC count for Gura for year 2021 she is at rank 14, still lower than many Holomems (including two of her genmates), but a much fairer ranking in my opinion.

Listen here it doesn't matter if it got deleted or privated. It will count. One is stream that got privated during the HOLOcaust and one is recent because of raunchy ADs

Corpo vtubers give the wrench to other corpo vtubers all the time, it’s normal. Well, at least in the SEA sphere. HoloID, (ex)NijiID and Maha5 are all modded on each other’s channels. Some even help with moderation (I’ve seen Zen from Maha5 removing spam on Moona’s chat, for example)
