I'll give credit to Shane. The jury awarded Depp $10 million direct damages, plus $5 million in fuck-you punitive. So that's correct.

The judge had to adjust the punitive damages to the statutory max of $350,000, and then you had to subtract the ruling in Heard's favor, of $2 million.

The only statement that the jury found defamatory was the second... the "hoax" in that statement specifically referred to a conspiracy to set up a fake crime scene and call the cops. The jury found, for whatever reason, that this statement was defamatory... but both of the other statements referred to Amber's sexual violence / abuse hoax, and THOSE WEREN'T FOUND DEFAMATORY!

The jury absolutely did not find that the statement that her abuse allegations were a hoax was defamatory. They specifically found that it wasn't defamatory... twice!

I wouldn't jump too quickly to assume she wasn't just born a bad person. Look up her name on TX record database. Multiple police reports where she physically assaulted the father of her child, assault on the grandmother of her child, multiple reports of odd bruises on her child. Looks like the father of her child is suing for custody too.
