She was the second highest earner in Kawaii--only lagging behind Nene. She has (or had) a couple of very dedicated gachikois.

In the span of 30 minutes in a VRChat stream while talking about VRC stuff she wanted to commission, she made close to $500. That was only a few weeks ago.

So, a $3k investment for a side hustle is a pretty solid investment for her; assuming she keeps her gachikois. Whether or not recent developments will tarnish her reputation enough for them to bail is yet to be determined.

Easy answer: Free Collaborations

If they strike big with a Vtuber they'll have a special Xperia phone, Headphones, Playstation control, Walkman etc based on the Vtuber. It gets them into to the rabbid coomer fan who wouldn't by a Sony product normally but will definitely by something with their Oshi on it.
And since Sony already does this with Miku and anime properties they already own why wouldn't they want a Sony Vtuber they could also do the same with?

She'll probably keep them and while I'm not a unicorn schizo like @Swingletonthesimpleton I obviously don't support Neena's actions. So idc about her after this point, I'll keep supporting Nene who supports Kawaii Pro.

Edit: Also, iunno, Neena's often complained about money, even to Nene's face who was on her podcast talking about how Nene makes enough to go full time after quitting her IRL jobs. Either Neena wanted more or needed more.

Combination of you're getting older (so time is literally relavtive) and the fact Covid isn't bending over industries (in Japan at least) that's delaying a ton of shit.

That's just all the more reason that she'd want to keep it up as a side hustle when she's making relatively decent money from it.

Originally, her new vtuber was scheduled to debut today, so that was clearly something that's been in the works for a while and she would have had to put that $3k down some time ago, which could be another reason to want/need more money.

The classifications aren't an exact science, as I stipulated for Holostars. The website seems to operate in 'brackets'. I put Lee On there because her 9K subs is levied with the same averages as everyone else's on the list to prove that.

What it does show is that their viewership...isn't terrible. They're mostly in the same ballpark as Holostars with fractions of the active subs. This doesn't account for the fact that most of them see better success in both viewers and money on their Twitch accounts, which are not calculated by Playboard.

People like Ha Yun, Lee Roha, Na Sera, and Nagi So in particular are people who I personally tip to accelerate in exposure once the merger begins and they are more free to intermingle: Ha Yun because he's a Master at APEX and will likely squeeze in with Kuzuha, Kanae, Fuwa etc. The three girls because they have designs and personalities that I think Japanese will love once they become part of THEIR branch.

This is all supposing the company or members don't shit the bed which, you know, they might.

First some housekeeping: Ban Hada was on hiatus at the time of the merge, and will be on hiatus until August as she recovers from what appears to be a major throat issue. Lee On was replaced as she graduated.

Ex-KR have seen major relative inclines across the board. Min Suha, a Gen 1 who has been around since 2019, has doubled in size thanks in part to his interactions with Uki Violeta and decent English proficiency. Nari Yang has grown by about 200%. Seffyna is also enjoying the accolades for being the driving force between these musical international collabs/relays.

I tipped Roha to be the forerunner to incline, but she and Akira Ray (who are both Japanese) have yet to actually really get involved with the JP branch yet. Still, the change in management and access to opportunities has clearly had an overall positive effect on them all.

Personally, I've had the impression for while that she didn't want to be in Kawaii and was intending to leave, so that tweet really surprised me. I guess that was just said in anger to "own the haters" in the moment, and there was never any real intent behind those words.

Edit: I actually got the impression that she didn't really care for vtubing in general. So, while the initial graduation announcement didn't come as any surprise, I was a little shocked to find that she was planning a new vtuber debut. I think maybe VRC and the money she was making from vtubing changed her mind on it--or I was just mistaken, and it was really the more idol oriented nature of Kawaii that she didn't like as well as the Youtube ecosystem.
