How many people would take it? Do some research and look at how many people turn down the opportunity to get so little to be so publicly pummeled for someone else's profit. There's literally no benefit.
Okay, well... Good old pros n' cons.
Pros:
- A part of the profits of Creator Clash go to charity. I know Pigroach donates privately, so privately he doesn't even put it on his taxes or bankruptcy forms, but they are actually helping people. And charities run lavish parties and get higher salaries, but hey.
- This event has created a lot of positive buzz and helped whitewash some reputations that were down in the dumps. Arin motherfucking Hanson got on the ring wearing hot pink trunks, dreadlocks, and got beat the fuck up by a much bigger Canadian lumberjack looking dude. All in all fun times, plus if you get invited and don't go, EGORAPTOR IS MANLIER AND LESS OF A PUSSY THAN YOU ARE. I think that's pretty damning.
- Not just that, but all of these events have been viral and hit more than a million views. How does another viral video sound? I thought we were trying to save the channel.
- You get 50K as a sign on bonus, you get more when the fight is done. DSP here literally just proclaimed to the world that he CAN'T BE FUCKED TO PICK UP THE PHONE FOR NEARLY A FULL YEAR OF BEGGING INCOME. Anyone who continues to give him money after this is beyond hope.
- Take some pressure off the dentheads for begging, make some money, take your horse on a honeymoon, pay the Khando off, pay the car off, that money is a godsend. Take a pick. As long as it doesn't go straight into Scopely's bank account, there is no wrong option.
- This isn't getting on the ring with Mike Tyson. This is getting on the ring with someone of similar age, height and build, who has the same time to train as you do, and might start at a lower point. Again, if it was getting on the ring with Tyson, I'd not reccomend it. You'll probably get a concussion, if you're lucky. But you know, using the same example from before, wimpy pudgy men like Phil or Egoraptor just can not inflict massive damage with boxing techniques in a short amount of time.
- It'd be something really fun for the dentheads and Kat. Look at Phil the warrior, getting on that ring, earning that bread. Specially for a streamer with Phil's relationship with his fanbase (He REALLY needs their help!) and close friends (haha) he REALLY, REALLY should have at least put in the minimum amount of effort to make it happen.
- Failing everything else you can take a couple shots in round 1, take a dive and cry. Easiest 100K of your fucking life, and you get to laugh at the stupid mohrahns who paid you all the way to the bank. Even if you show up with no training, this is boxing rules, you're not gonna get choked out, you're not gonna get your arms snapped, you're not going to have to get on the ground and struggle. Couple quick, clean shots to the face area and the gut and you're good to claim you fought as hard as you could. Phil wouldn't have to throw a single fucking punch, just block one or two, run around the ring, claim he's beat and can't go on because muh gout or whatever and that's yer fucking lot.
Cons:
- Phil would get beat. Not even that, but he'd have to take one or two shots before taking a dive. It's just how it is. His ego would take a massive hit, he couldn't ever again claim how he's gonna lift, spin and slam us for talking shit on the internet, and it would be confirmed that he's a gigantic pussy and completely incapable of defending himself. That's fine, many men are like that in modern society. No real big deal there.
- Phil couldn't realistically beg as hard. I'd chalk this up as a pro, too, but it's a con for him, so here it goes.
- Phil couldn't justify being in trouble, couldn't justify no honeymoon to Khet, this sort of thing. I do wonder what Kat thinks of DSP giving up a massive event that would get millions of eyes on him with a guaranteed payday.
TL;DR: There is absolutely no reason for Phil to not take the fucking money, get on a ring, do DgenX crotch chops, take one shot, cry like a newborn baby and throw in the towel. No reason. No matter how you look at it. Yes, he's gonna get a little bit hurt, but fuck's sakes, you can not be a desperate beggar who really needs dentheads' SSI checks AND turn down a 50K+ payment like it's no biggie. I know he's not really desperate, but that's what he says. Consistency is nice when you're a scam artist.
This is the seethe angle I'm talking about. Half the time if a dumb cow took a deal like this the thread would be imploding begging him to not do it as honest advice. But in this case he's being damned for not as an excuse to drum up monetary critique you don't even need since he's free like ketchup packets when it comes to his finances.
There are very little to no cows I'd advice to not take this deal as long as their rival was a person of their age, height and build. Jordie SHOULD totally do this if it's an option and he's boxing another deathfat, I think he legit could win. LTG would be a coin toss depending on who he's fighting and I doubt he's got much fight experience. Ralph would get felted, but he'd take the chance and the money, and I wouldn't reccomend otherwise. Yanderedev, same thing. Guy would kiss the mat in less than 3 rounds and he still should take it.
Even if you lose, even if you lose horribly like that guy who boxed Dad and got fucking destroyed, you gather attention, adsense bucks, goodwill, and you're helping charity. Creator Clash is nothing short of a golden ticket for trashy youtubers, and our boy Phil is too good for that. Well godspeed, but it's gonna get harder and harder to sell the destitute beggar angle if every chance you get to help yourself, you run from while turning to the dentheads to make up the difference. Even if it was only for the supposed new PC we're about to fundraise for and a staycation with Kat at a sleepy BnB, noping Keemstar makes him look like shit. Keem will leak the messages eventually and it'll be what we were all expecting. DSP's eyes turning to dollar signs, half chub thinking of all the Hogans he was gonna purchase, then half chub dejectedly wilting when he read "You'd have to fight".
