the amount of additional oil from saudi arabia is set in the hundreds of thousands of barrels but America alone uses 20 million a day. these OPEC countries aren't going to bail out the Suicide Squad that our Western "leaders" are. The Saudis want to send the minimum for the extracted maximum of plummeting Western currency as well as a bunch of juicy business deals and military aid. OPEC literally has the West over the barrel again.
So much for making Saudi Arabia a pariah state! They're in the driver's seat now. It is right up there with the ruble being rubble, Joe Biden being commanded to grovel before the "pariah."
where is their car taking us?

For popular music sure. There was a lot of bandwagoning onto disco at the time. That shit was soulless. But a lot of alternative rock and shit was just taking off in 76. And disco at its best is really fucking good.
Disco is an interesting genre in that there WAS good songs from it in the late 70s, but a huge amount of crap. Ironically, once the fad died down and rebranded as "club/dance", the late 70s Disco output largely got narrowed down to the good stuff in terms of collective consciousness and cash grab music releases.

Also Trump/Secret Service; Trump has a long history of treating his security details very well and it was widely reported that this extended to him treating his Secret Service detail very well, to the point that there was leaks that Trump treated the Secret Service agents assigned to him better than most modern Presidents.

@Gehenna Does that last bit sound about right to you? It is in regards to Biden's approval rating.
Yes, no, and not at all. Let me explain:

Incumbents get a massive bonus to re-election because people like the devil they know. That being said looking at the approval rating alone is absolute and total bullshit.

Let me introduce you to a concept called "The Keys to the Whitehouse"

Now, individually I and many others have picked apart its carcass for small issues and inconsistences here and there. But let us consider its general framing. Put simply, there are a variety of factors that go into whether someone will win. Approval rating acts as a sort of informal barometer of just how many keys an incumbents currently holds onto. Therefore, a significant drop like the stated -20 would indicate a massive number of keys lost and almost certain loss. Where as -5 would indicate that some are lost... but maybe not enough to lose the election.

TL;DR: Approval acts as a gauge on other factors that actually do effect re-election, but is not a tell all hard and fast nnumbers mean X thing.
@Gehenna
Whats the likelyhood on gun control cucking?

And opinions on Tim Michels?
I maintain its unlikely. Looks like a dog and pony show to me. McConnel has offered no real support beyond his general half-hearted measures to be seen doing 'something' and the only Republican support I have heard is the usual RINOs. Its just a longer and more publicly visible dog and pony show because its midterms. Now, I have maintained I can just make a bad call (and inevitably will at some point) but this doesn't appear to be it. Jus looks like theatrics to me.

Michels is a good boy, have worked for him personally though so sadly I actually am legally obligated to not say anything much about him.

Navarro's recent book In Trump Time is very good. One of the few politician "insider books" where it's not fluff, and from a guy who is also an outsider trying to explain how shit the swamp is, and brings receipts. Like Mollie Hemmingway's book Rigged, these are the two you would give to a time traveler from the past going what the fuck happened.

Navarro has a new book coming out in September too.

I wish we lived in the country they think we live in. I wish conservatives were even a fraction as vindictive as they are.
Good news, while the republicans at large (currently) are not so vindictive.

Trump -absolutely- is.

This is the man who got shitposted at and responded with bombing the man who did it.

I swear people just never bothered to read his books. The one thing I can tell you about Trump's morality is that absolutely sees getting even as a moral duty. I don't even know if it's a particularly personal thing at this point, like I don't know if he even gets emotional invested in it, but if you swing at him, he will destroy you, he views it as necessary. It's how you keep people from fucking with you.

Trump runs and wins in 2024, I wouldn't put it past him to just fire entire executive agencies and start investigating everyone. I'd half except someone to get black bagged and spend some time at a black site getting waterboarded, but I don't know that he's that vindictive. I'd be, but I believe sometimes you have to make an example of someone. Something, something admirals.

People are just going to quit their jobs since it is just not viable anymore.
Lots of expensive places depend on the working class living 1-2 hours down the freeway and commuting into work every day because they can not afford housing any closer than that. This includes school teachers, janitors, restaurant workers, retail workers, council workers, nurses, etc etc.
These people will just quit and stop going in to work.

What happens when large fractions of these people just stop showing up for work?
Ayn Rand addressed that in Atlas Shrugged. (((The elite))) will make it illegal to quit your job and start straight up murdering people if they won't be happy slaves for (((them)))

Just like the left are doing right now with his buddies. I swear, it's like they believe there will never be consequences for their actions, or that they won't be privy to the same treatment.

This is one of the reasons why I say Christianity was a mistake. Christianity was a giant psy-op to trick people into thinking revenge and justice are different things. The result is that it creates generations upon generations of RINO cucks letting to let things slide in the name of peace.

They do believe that. They are so damn used to their Uniparty assets ensuring the Republicans stay quiet and cucked that they actually forgot it could be different.
