The deep lore is, Ripley was shopping around for doctors to give him an extremely experimental and unnecessary “FUTA“ surgery. he gets kicked out of most doctors offices because he’s extremely difficult to work with and has an open hatred for any woman in the medical field. One doctor put the idea in his head (when the doctor was essentially firing him) that the reason he can’t work with Ripley is because Ripley is “intersex“ therefore the doctor can assign him to a different hospital who’s better equipped to treat it. The doctor used the overproduction of testosterone as the reason Ripley could be intersex. Ripley was it delighted to have this diagnosis and left the doctors office peacefully without any tantrums.

isn't he quite tall with awfully small moobs? That casts a lot of doubt on his 'excess testosterone' story because it'd cause growth plate fusion early in puberty plus gyno

plus an issue like that would get you referred to check your pituitary and testicles for hormone secreting tumours

I'm not an expert on being banned, but I'd assume if you book something online or especially through a third party (Orbitz, Priceline, etc) there would be nothing preventing you from doing so. The issue would come when you tried to check in.
