I don't have a full understanding of her parents' physical conditions. Ma has cancer and apparently some movement problems, but Staph is a terrible historian and doesn't care about anyone but herself, so it's hard to tell how she's doing, day-to-day.

Moving to a retirement community, one of the places for independent living that offers a continuum of care so you can add on assisted living services when you need them, would be a step up in a different way for the her parents. Sorry, no couch-surfing parasite singles allowed.

Don't you guys remember when you first moved out? So young, maybe even just 32 or 33, just starting out in the world. Some of us had nothing more than a useless master's degree we endlessly bragged about but we scraped together money from strangers and our mom and got ourselves a grifted free apartment.
