I cannot be the only one annoyed at doomers assuming Democrats have near-mythical abilities to bypass any and all safeguards, protocols, and systems in the country.

If this were even remotely true then they'd have already done so, and how, and -none- of the setbacks we have seen them take would have ever occurred
To quote someone on Patriots.win: "Trump A/B tests speeches. While he's doing that, the left A/B tests election rigging methods." No one in October 2020 thought they could -- or would dare try to -- bypass the election safeguards for a national election. But they did, then bragged about it, and then silenced everyone who dared question it publicly. At this point it's not "would they do it" -- we're now permanently beyond that -- it's "how are they going to do it next time?" They have crossed the Rubicon. They can't NOT win now, so it's not a matter of IF they try to cheat, it's a matter of HOW, and if it will work. That's why some people, myself included, are absolutely convinced they'll try in 2022 / 2024. And based on the early days of 2021, if they do, they'll get away with it again.

But thinking about it... I do think the dooming comes from the fact that outside of some discord in the ranks on the left, which is mostly being kept on the down low, the left appears to have effectively gotten away with stealing the 2020 election. Part of this is definitely due to the media refusing to talk about it -- those 1.5 billion dollar lawsuits from Dominion shut them up pretty damned effectively -- and part is Big Tech burning some of their resources to silence anyone who dared discuss it online in a Big Tech controlled space.

I mean it'd be a whole other thing if Tucker Carlson had a segment where he covered X number of states making Y changes to prevent another 2020. But he can't even acknowledge there was anything wrong in 2020, yet alone what's being done to fix it.

It's also not being helped that there seems to be a rather desperate demoralization campaign going on. Someone will bring up some election reform win on say, Patriots.win or Twitter, only to have demoralization posters swarm into the replies. "Yawn, wake me when Biden's removed from office." "Doesn't matter, we need to just WATER THE TREE. Who's with me?!" "Lol 2 weeks to the kraken is released guys, this time we're serious guys." etc etc. It reminds me of Ann Coulter and her desperate attempts to cause the right to break ranks with Trump over the wall. At some point she started interviews off with "You know he still hasn't built the wall, right?"

To define the problem a lot of Conservatives are having:

They don't understand the limits of Democrat power, and how much work it has taken the left to get the pockets they have.

The 2020 election almost comes off like Democrats flipped a switch and stole the election. They had an entire machine, with thousands of people, operating in lockstep to steal the election. People don't see the amount of work and money the Democrats had to spend and burn to get the result they wanted. Decades of power-broking in individual states allowed the left to get that job done.

People see the Clinton clique get away scot free. They see the near impunity that many big city, blue state, progressive seem to operate with. The Saint Floyd riots, the Covid extremism, and so many things before then. The left has been extremely good at projecting power.

To the uninitiated, the Democrats look like they hold damn near limitless power. To be frank, even to those in the know, the Left holds an awful lot of uninhibited power. The right is waking up to the fact that their enemy doesn't bind themselves to the rule of law, and we are struggling to come to terms with that fact. The right's perception of leftist power was always predicated on what they could do legally and under the spirit of the law.

So now we are dealing with the over-reaction. Going from: "The left are harmless idiots." to "The left are all consuming monsters."

Okay, so, why haven't they done things like stack the courts or put all of the Trump supporters before "Truth and Reconciliation" courts or whatever the fuck? Why has this administration failed so hard at getting most of it's agenda through then? Why did Virginia go GOP in spite of partial fortification measures still being in place and why was New Jersey so close that they needed to "fortify" the election there?

The Dems got away with blatant fraud in 2020, true enough. That does not mean, though; that they have practically unlimited power to do whatever they want to do. Fraud, cheating, various forms of lawbreaking all have practical limits. We're not looking at the start of a 1000 year libtard reich, we're looking at an electoral asskicking in the mid-terms for the Dems followed by a very possible GOP victory in 2024.

The ultimate Pyrrhic Victory: The won but burned most their resources and were left holding the economic ticking time bomb. All with a braindead figure head and too many people trying to steer the ship to keep a steady path.

I think I'd mind this specific brand of doomerism less if it was not inevitably paired with the most pretzaly of logic. Any defeat, setback, negative outcome, or consequence to the Democrats is handwaved as not mattering.

Despite the fact that if the Democrats enjoyed the power the doomers claim the Democrats should never have experienced those events to begin with.

Robby Starbuck is now allowed back on the GOP ballot for his Tennessee district, suck it GOPe. And IIRC the woman who was picked by the GOPe in that district dropped out after being revealed to be a carpetbagger RINO.

edit: have some retardation for your weekend

Kamala sounds like she's trying (unsuccessfully) trying to sound like Mrs. Rogers talking to a roomful of kindergarteners but with an extra layer of condescension. Or is that just me?

This is the exact reason they are going after gun control. They don't have unlimited power, BUT should they somehow achieve disarming the public then they would have tantamount to unlimited power. The normies aren't going to stop their agenda and many at the top of the right pyramid seem to be complacent with the left.

It's obvious they don't have unlimited power in actuality, but when the opposition never takes any footsteps forward against them it's understandable why many would be jaded or questioning if anything is going to be done. Same as 2020, and more. Them having losses and set backs is not the same as being disrupted in their ultimate goal. Even if democrat party falls apart that doesn't mean they won't boil harder and ultimately win years down the road or just change the titles of their party and pull the same debate magic on the populace and this time succeed.

Being too doomer is bad, but being too optimistic and not being weary of this potential line of outcome is also dangerous. It's the exact same issue that led to clown world and the victimization of so many in the first place.

Counterpoint: Bob Chipman is a subhuman, sub-90 IQ degenerate with no influence or relevance outside of his lolcow thread here on the farms, so his retarded opinions carry no weight.
Didn't Bob Chipman created the "There is no such thing as bad tactics only bad targets" mindset of the liberal left. He may be a a subhuman, sub-90 IQ degenerate but he is a a subhuman, sub-90 IQ degenerate with a considerable amount of influence.

I wouldn't say he created it (he's not capable of independent thought). He just put it into words that way.

"The ends justify the means" and "it's ok when we do it" are long-standing commandments of liberalism.

Bob has absolutely zero real-world influence and you're deluded for thinking he even could. The liberal left political apparatus isn't taking any notes from a basement-dwelling alcoholic would-be fascist whose most notable achievement is getting fired from the same irrelevant gaming news outlet twice.
The political left eschewing norms for short-term power grabs has been a tried and true tactic since before Bob was even swimming around in his daddy's ballsack.

He is a worshipper of neoliberal leftism, nothing more. The only thing he's doing is saying the quiet part out loud in the most retarded way possible.

The Dems gun control push is going to fail, it has way too much potential opposition in front of it not to fail. Said push would first need to clear the house(easy enough) the senate(not happening with the GOP+Manchin opposing it.)the senate filibuster(also not happening because of the GOP+Manchin) and finally the inevitable court challenges if it did somehow get that far.

There is no ultimate victory, only an endless struggle between those groups who have varying degrees of power(and this is everyone in the country, btw). This is the way it's been since we were banging rocks together in the savannahs and jungles; and it is how it will be when we have inter-stellar colonies hundreds of years from now.

On this we are in complete agreement.

I agree with you that it will fail, my "if" is merely a hypothetical if we were to be wrong and it were to somehow happen. I've seen to many events many have discredited over the years occur despite being impossible in the same notion.

I understand you're talking about historically this struggle will continue, but who the struggle is with or against changes and maintaining our livelyhood depends on who wins that struggle. Even if one side should win a new struggle will arise, doesn't mean it should be given up on.
