Saw this on the rdrama website, figured it was too good not to share. Redditor spends a ton of time traveling, none of her family gives a fuck and she's big mad they don't care about exotic destinations like Canada and Mexico.

Anyway, it's a fun thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/solotravel/comments/t787e6/big_rant_when_almost_nobody_is_interested_in

Also something you'll never see coming, she thinks she has a bunch of mental illness, posts about how her mother is a narcissist, posts in drug subreddits, and posts in doomer subreddits. A stereotypical woman on reddit, who is the height of mental stability.
I will never get the millenialism of traveling to "find oneself" or thinking it's some profound thing to discovering the secrets of an enlightened existence. It's just another form of consoomerism, especially given the fact that lots of places get ruined by tourism.

I always found having to sleep in the same style hotel rooms, eat the same shit food, and deal with all of the tourist crap was actually dehumanizing.
If someone wanted to live like the locals for a year doing the same jobs, eating the same food and sharing the same lifestyle I could see that having an affect on someone. Taking selfies next to tourist spots for Instagram doesn't strike me as life altering.

Once you get away from the traps its pretty "authentic" by nwhich i mean modern-primitive dogshit quality.. Even in cancun, if u stay downtown instead of on the hotelzona its pretty drab mexico shit and mexican only cocktail clubs. I thought that shit was boring and id rather be at the party because mexico sucks ass. Now Europe or far Asia off the beaten path, yeah. Anyways white morons seekiong "exotic" bullshit is a tale old as western civ, problem now is that all the actual authentic shit is gone. Everythings a tourist trap, or when its not, its a bunch of steezers or gooks (or africoids) trying to wring you for every last penny. In Eastern Europe you can get a relational experience still though, hanging out with locals for kicks and theyre not interested in your wallet.

This murderous little twat is psychotic. If you go through his posts he also posts on r/satan. I am a right-wing atheist and can appreicate some good edgy provocation, but in this day and age anyone in the states playing around with (ostensibly nontheistic) satanism is undountedly among the worst that this shitty site has to offer (think bardfinn, that antiwork trans moderator on foxnews).

The crazy part is he was probably killed by intrusive ventilation. He even admits that the ventilators were rupturing his lungs (this is caused by the PEEP being set too high, not by Covid, and it is frequently fatal on its own). This was warned about very, very early on in the pandemic and tens of thousands died because doctors with too little common sense were slamming the pressure up because they were told to.

I feel for him because he suffered a loss like that and was immediately taken in by propagandizers. But really he should be suing that hospital and getting the doctor or nurse's medical license struck off, not blaming random people.

Io and behold, the statue of a "modern woman".

Not reddit strictly, bht lets be honest, redtims and handmaidens will be cheering so hard they will coom.
Given the whole creepy nature of the AGP brigade and the stuff they get off on the wang should have been fully erect and and ready to ejaculate.

She isnt wrong actually. Traveling is an eye opening experience at how other people live and its a very expensive one usually only afforded to the children of the rich,

The idea of college is based on the 'grand tour' rich kids used to take, I think.
But photo slideshows of your vacation has been a meme forever, nobody cares. At best it's just ' look how much better than you I am' tiers of showing off.

You make a mistake in feeling for him. He is like Dylan Klebold or some other sad sack who wants to hurt other people for his own misfortune.

If he really had auto immune disease, it was probably unwise of him to continue to working as he did. That's a choice he made, and if it was really so obvious why did not this pathetic sack of shit intervene.

It also possible that his dad blew off covid, such that he himself is a Herman Cain Award winner.

Traveling is an eye opening experience at how other people live
i dont think that an extended party holiday provides any eye opening experiences about how other people live
like, if you go on business trips where you actually spend time cooperating on doing serious work with local professionals, that would provide you with such experience. but hostel hopping around canada (which is basically just america with lower population density and colder weather) or getting drunk in mexican beach resorts doesn't.
