I posted in the losing people thread the other day that I'm 99% positive one of my teenage friends turned feminist mums has trooned or at least gone nonbinary and it's caused an outbreak of anti terf sentiment from other friends who imagine that horrible Rowling wants to kill their nice friend.

I said something similar in that thread, I think: I cross social circles with a lot of extreme SJW types who are older than the traditional ROGD troon (median age 30 or so) and almost without exception, the women who have trooned out or turned "nonbinary" are the ones that are still floundering well into adulthood. It's definitely a prefabricated identity that these people latch onto.

The women who have something in their life that gives them an identity (whether it's a career they enjoy, or a family role they get a lot of meaning from, or even just passionate hobbies) haven't jumped on the gender train despite being surrounded by it for close to a decade now.

(And I don't even want to come across like I am looking down on them, some of them really have had hard luck, and shit just fucking sucks for a lot of people these days. It's just a shame that they think that genderism will help, when in reality all they'll get is a greatly reduced social circle and male pattern baldness)

On the plus side! The fact that it's happening to so many disaffected women in their thirties at least means that the trend is probably on its last legs among zoomers. Teenage trends don't last long after they have spread to the 30+ crowd.

Even in her own comic she stilll just looks like a woman who mutilted herself. You'd think they'd try a bit harder to be men. Not that it's really that surprising, tons of TIFs seem to harbor a poorly conceled fetish for corrective rape or "refeminization". I know its trannies so the answer is obvious but even beyond that what is this trend with putting on your dating bio that you're mentally ill? There isn't anything wrong with being (genuinely) mentally ill and I understand that people maybe feel a little apprehensive about dating in case they think someone will stigmatize them if they say they've had issues. People do go through bad times and it doesn't mean they can't be good partners* if they've sorted themselves out. But I don't get this trend of putting on your dating bio "I love cats, horror movies, bubble tea and self harming by moonlight, open to monogamy or non monogamy". Do they not get that normal, decent people are going to swipe left and the only people who will swipe right on them are either really fucked up and/or abusive, manipulative people who see an easy victim? I know its attention seeking and hoping they'll get pity sex at best but surely on some level they must see the optics of putting all your mental health issues on a dating profile (I know trannies don't have that much common sense).

* I do have a heart sometimes. Trannies can still take a bath with a hairdryer though.

eh, there are behaviors that are far, far worse until people know what they are and why they exist. Speaking of CWC, I've been doing some christory catch up and I came to a very conflicting conclusion: when it comes to tranny degenerates, there's always the discourse surrounding "respecting pronouns." On one hand I refuse to give in to their demands to play along with their fantasy. On the other hand, you have equally as many people claiming it's okay to 'misgender' them because they're "not really trans and they're just giving real trans people a bad name!" And I'm starting to see this type as even more disingenuous.

Why? Who made you the arbiter of transness? Why do you get to decide if someone is a "valid" trans or not? Looking back at Chris' past, if we follow TRA logic he showed many consistent early signs of gender dysphoria, you can even argue he has a better claim to gender dysphoria than the majority incels MTF population who never exhibited any feminine behavior (like how they claim they always felt gender dysphoria even as toddlers, despite no actual evidence to suggest it.) I'm really torn on which option to go with for peaking purposes. 99% of furries are sexual deviants, so does that mean the furry community gets an undeserved bad rap because "hey there's still the 1% who aren't sexual deviants"? It's a statement of empathy; these women are trying to forge a connection between you and them by admitting they understand what you're feeling. You know, as women do. Forging connections through empathy and understanding of other people's feelings is super important to us gals. Something you'd understand if you were really women.

Like yes, theoretically a kid can take lupron for a year and not end up with serious problems, but the goal of any kid going on puberty blocking is specifically not to stop it. These kids believe that puberty will destroy them, so they will avoid it at all costs, and that is where the long term harm occurs! And you see this in the numbers, the vast majority of kids who go on puberty blockers keep going with the transition, because it's all a goddamn placebo effect+magical thinking, and they keep being pushed in that direction by enablers.
