I'm just throwing this out here. But what about a time based post delay? A set amount of posts a day, followed by a cool down. It might force users to put thought into their comment or reply. And if they wish to continue there discussion with another user they can take it to there profiles. This might not solve it's community problem. But a volume of shitcock posts problem.

I’ll be honest, if I were a mod, I’d probably make a bunch of “debate me, bro” threads for certain users for containment. This, however, would be purely for my own entertainment. I’m not into locking threads if there’s a juicy slap fight, I’d rather just make a containment thread in the general discussion board so all those fun stickers could be used. I’d only threadban people if they a. fedpost (and report it to Null or b, just spam things no one likes (like uncensored porn). I’d be a bit of a Nazi about people archiving their articles though (so journos have a harder time walking back their words). That said, being a janny means more work (without pay). Yeah, no shit. Because trying to moderate A&H "harder" is going to run off the people who actually use it and post there. If that's what you want you might as well ban every current regular from that section of the site permanently then let the complainers run the joint and enjoy the cratered activity from people going elsewhere.

I disagree that the Autistic Thunderdome is a cursed wasteland. It's one of the few places on the internet where you can go and get real updates on shit like the Summer of Love or any kind of complex breaking news story.

And at least as someone who has been online since Web 1.0, people in A&H seem more mature than they are in a lot of sites, given the diversity of opinions. I mean have you seen Free Republic??? Or Democratic Underground??? Or literally any other political discussion board for normies??? Since it's not "for" any particular group, it's not an echo chamber and there's surprisingly little Master Debating.

Finally, I am on the left and it's a place where I don't have to censor my actual opinions.

People can still have their free for all fun time and you can not fucking worry about it.

Your users are autistic but not dumb. They will figure it out. More moderators is not the answer. Split the community and keep standard moderation for illegal stuff. Never visit and be happy. Integrate special features into Sneedforo.

dunno, but imo before going all out just start simple:

- bring back stickers. they have purpose, post stupid shit get stupid stickers. everybody who whines about it gets a suspension.
- automatically suspend anyone going on a sticker spree. you're supposed to rate the post after reading, not "downvote" all posts of a single user in 15 minutes (threshold would be hard to figure out, maybe just disable their ability to like shit for a start).

as others said that (non)-existent validation will be enough to either bring them in line or ravage their rectum so hard they sperg out and basically remove themselves via ban.

@Hollywood Hulk Hogan is one of my favorite users. His responses are so predictable that they sound like AI created them. He’s like a beehive too, he won’t bother you if you don’t respond or tag him (I am tagging him though and am awaiting my insult).

the problem is he and some others seem to get a pass posting shit, there's a reason people tag him, same way people are gonna tag me if I say the sky is green and there are dozen posts about with proof the sky is blue.
and most importantly, you don't have to react to every tag. "don't feed the trolls" goes both ways.

See I actually really enjoy those when they pop up in GD and need to start browsing them again. I remember at least a couple a while back where some rando would just accidentally out themselves as a pedo sympathizer or some shit and then both sides of the previous sperging could unite to mock them, and it seems to produce good content too.
