Bit of autism here but I followed John Rambo for a long time when I was younger, listened to all his podcasts and watched all his stuff. The budget obviously wasn't there but his podcast The Show was really great. By all accounts and from all the time I spent watching him, he was really a cool, down to Earth guy.

The contrast of John against Phil is so striking and I'm really glad we got this react because of how appalling it is to see two normal human beings against whatever Phil is. It's very easy to lose perspective and think Phil is boring until you're reminded just how deeply mentally ill he is, by being directly contrasted against two functional, decent men of his age.

A few highlights I wanted to point out:

Phil constantly shitting on Howard, going between saying they were never friends and saying they were friends sometimes within 5-10 seconds contradicting himself, based on whatever made him look best and Howard look worst.

Phil claiming to have spent the 900 dollars on tshirts himself and calling Howard an outright liar, only to seconds later say Howard paid for 300 like Howard said. Then Phil says he paid for them, all 900 dollars and Howard didn't pay shit. Then he says Howard should have came to him if he wanted his cut. This was the best part trying to follow his bizarre narrative.

Constantly reiterating how dishonest they are about the timeline when they're just normal guys who aren't telling stories in a prepared, planned chronological order because they don't have schedule autism like him.

Saying he never had literally a minute to call John, despite calling his parents weekly who are in the same time zone.

The absolute best part: Phil saying roughly one hundred times that John's Patreon parody was 100% about only him because in it John says "uploading videos for a living has a dark side". Phil said about 40 times this was a name drop. "You can't deny it was talking shit. He said my name!" Then he rants about how they never talked shit. But they fired the first shot by talking shit. By "name dropping" him in that video. So it wasn't "legally" (hahahaha) a parody anymore, it was a "slam". Phil was illegally slammed by John using the common phrase "has a dark side." Maybe that is a subtle Phil joke- Who knows. But to be so psychotically upset over it is insane.

EDIT: I forgot to add an important one. Phil saying he used to rewatch old John Rambo co-op videos and fall asleep to them while reminiscing. This speaks for itself.

So....I'm not going to expect a recap of that shit show but what did we all learn today?

There's a very good reason why Phil doesn't have friends. Aside the the narcissism and greed, Phil equates "things" with belonging. His desire for money, for plastic crap and even his wife (remember the smug asshole face when Kat kissed him on stream?) are all status things that he thinks he needs to belong. Problem is, he lacks empathy and is so insecure about himself that he lashes out whenever someone so much succeeds where he fails or "slights" him. He really is a sad little man who has no clue why he's stuck in his personal hell, but flips anyone off who would offer advice because Phil hates being wrong.

One of the highlights for me was when he said: "T was such a beautiful guy. I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT HIS LOOKS BTW!"
Like he is so insecure that he can't even call another man beautiful, nevermind a dead man that was supposed to be a close friend. He just has to squeeze in that "I'M NOT GAY BTW! I'M STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW! I'M NOT GAY!"

And his rhetoric that he didn't monetized anyone's death because he only made a few dollars of the video where he said it. Dude... that arguably makes it worse. You sell your supposed friends death for a few dollars rather then keep it to yourself? jfc

Nigga has that beautiful voice.

I tapped out of the stream yesterday at the Feasting With The Pig segment. He was just going to take too damn long with the John&Howard video.

What a fascinating phenomenon: a "React" video that he watched several times for research, to prepare his responses and get his stories straight. He constantly goes, "Coming up in a moment they'll talk about this... "and "Next they're going to talk about this..." He takes on the role of the expert who has watched this video many times and can guide you through its pitfalls. That's not a react video, Phil.

This may be the worst thing he's ever done, and I haven't even reached the part where he apparently cries yet. It's a fascinating mix of "owning up to being a lying asshole" and unleashing all his own resentment and rage, defending himself, and throwing Howard in particular under the bus.

I'm catching up on 1.5x speed now. Here are some notes from things I didn't know before about the Project 7 saga. Fresh new bullshit from Phil:

- They never intended to make money on Project 7's Youtube debut. They intended to make money "on the back end" with merch and DVD sales. (Yes, DVD sales).

- Phil got Respect The Pact a partnership with Machinima -- a good deed to allow them to monetise their own content on their own channel.

- Respect the Pact emailed Phil to say they were quitting the project, for two reasons: 1) Their channel hadn't benefited enough from the "exposure" of doing Project 7, and 2) they would be too busy for personal reasons. Phil organised a meeting with them at Starbucks to talk more. On the day of the meeting he got the shits from eating bad pizza and couldn't make it. He decided not to schedule another meeting -- it would have been too awkward to beg them to keep doing Project 7 for money.

- Phil calculates that he made $1000 to $2000 total ad revenue for all Project 7 videos. He claims he spent at least this much on props, including a $300 Gears of War gun and an "even more expensive" Mass Effect gun. He is certain that Project 7 lost him money.

- John Rambo's car broke down and he needed to buy a new one to keep coming to Phil's house, so John asked for his "cut of the profits" for Project 7. Phil gave him a sum of money that helped pay for a new car. NEW REVELATION: Phil didn't have the heart to tell John that Project 7 made no money, but he knew John wouldn't accept a handout for any other reason... so he let John believe the money was his cut of the profits.

(No fucking wonder
John and Howard thought Phil was holding back money! Phil let them believe that the money he gave John for a new car was one fifth of the Project 7 profits. Phil does not express any awareness that his lie could cause this misconception for them).

- Phil paid all $900 for the t-shirts (after feeling forced to go with designs that Howard and Respect the Pact made behind his back). He then invited the others to get "in on the investment that I've already fronted all the money for." Howard said "I'm in, here's $300". John declined because he couldn't afford it.

- Phil "accidentally" took the boxes of unsold t-shirts with him to Washington, because John & Howard brought the t-shirts back to his house on the day of his move, instead of throwing them away like he told them to. So they ended up in the haulage van, costing Phil an extra $75 in haulage.

- Howard "had no stake in the t-shirts" when Phil was giving them away as Patreon perks, so he has no right to complain. Just before Phil left for Washington, they agreed that Howard could keep an old Super Turbo board that he'd revived, which had technically belonged to Phil. This made them square for the t-shirts.

- "I need to go downstairs and pop a Tylenol, my blood pressure has gone up..."

At this point I'm just kinda waiting for Phil to die. Trying to imagine how it's gonna go down. Either on stream from illness or off camera from old age. The first option is easy. The second one not so much? What will he do as an old man? Will he have a pension? Will he be homeless? Once he can't stream anymore (which rest assured WILL eventually happen wether in 5 years or 15) is he gonna work someplace else? People will recognize him and fuck with him irl.

There was a moment during yesterday’s debacle that I felt MAYBE explained how the last twenty years of Phil’s life have completely revolved around video games. He (tearfully?) talked about how when he started going to the arcade (late teens/early twenties?) and playing Street Fighter, and said that it was the first time in his life where he didn’t feel like an outsider, and felt welcomed inside a community. He said people would tell him how good he was at Street Fighter and how he should play in tournaments. He was experiencing camaraderie with his peers, and he felt that people actually liked him for the first time.

I feel like that may have been the most honest part of that twelve hour disaster.

Also, I think that feeling Phil had when he was younger, while he was playing video games with people, was so psychologically powerful, that he’s been chasing it ever since. Like a heroin addict forever chasing the feeling of that first hit. It was the only way Phil could be in a group of his peers and be somewhat accepted. It’s why he’s surrounded himself with video game shit for half of his life, and I think it may play a big role in his arrested development, too, among other things.

This pathetic manchild needs therapy BIG TIME. I think it was mostly a joke at first, but it’s pretty obvious to me that he is definitely going through a midlife crisis. He admitted to staying up watching old content with John Rambo, and I have no doubt that he still watches old shit from when he was more “successful”, and I’d bet that alcohol is never far from him when he does this.

NOTE: Often when Phil is describing his day off, or what he did the night before with Kat, he says they watched playthroughs of games by other streamers. What if Phil sits in the living room and watches his old playthroughs with Kat? I dunno, it just feels pretty plausible to me, especially hearing all the shit yesterday.

The funny thing is there’s actually video of Phil interacting with his friends. And you can tell that he obviously wants to be the center of attention and also be the one who gets all the attention.

There’s one video where he’s regaling people stories from his high school and college years trying to sound like an anti jock and the guy who runs the entire school. And everyone wanted to party at there dorm because him and his roommate had weed, snacks and alcohol and all the chicks wanted him. I couldn’t find the video but I’m sure someone with time could.

The other one is a BBQ and I always make the joke it’s like DSP isn’t there. He just walks around filming people play video games, swimming, cooking and eating all the while cracking unfunny jokes to himself hoping to get a rise or even a chuckle from someone. I think this example speaks to how people perceive him.

He would turn his funeral into a members reward special begathon event

This "react event" is best summed up as: tell me you're having a midlife crisis without telling me you're having a midlife crisis. Gonna be a long night of addiction indulgence for our boy.
I didn't even think of that before. This was absolutely a symptom of a serious mid-life crisis.

Anyway good luck to anyone who tries fact-checking that 10 hour waste of time. I wish I could live my life just lying about everything, so much, all the time, that I contradict myself every 10-20 seconds, and people pay me six figures a year for it. It's going to be fucking impossible to tease apart all the contradictions and bullshit on display.

So weird..

A debate appears on the farms about Phil
Phil does things that reinforce he reads the farms and reinforces either side of the debate, usually the negative one
Eventually, Phil 150% proves one side right.
off the top of my head

- he's not responsible with his money
- he actually doesn't have a lot of money
- he's not some machiavellian genus
- he's not actually pulling a long con
- he's not actually happy

anywho, @Piece of Peace posted on twitter what John and OJ were up to, damn phil..

that has to sting for someone with phils ego, huh? Nearly everyone who he has had in his life in some way is doing way better than you. John, OJ, Leanna. Even pretty much everyone he had something to do within the FGC.

If u believe that. He freaked out real hard when the popups started playing as he enabled em before starting feasting with the king. Put a end to that real quick frantic clicks
Yeah. The paypigs love throwing money at a crying Phail. Look how much they threw at him when he tried to cry in lifes been tough.
