As I've heard this type of assumption and sentiment that "Westerners must really want to honor and respect superior nippon culture, and we graciously allow this." in various topics for awhile. These types hated Tonberry being the AU server and likely drank themselves sick with rice wine once the gaijin aussies were shipped away back to kangaroo country where their filth cannot defile pure nippon digital grounds.

On the plus side PF is way better for obvious reasons, so little give or take. Also random DF queues for EX+ content is used for clearing hard content, not practice, which is another unusual JP cultural difference.

They're Japanese nationalists, of course they do. At least the younger ones do, the old ones likely just hate anime and all it associates with it completely besides probably stuff like Miyazaki films. If anything they believe gaijin shouldn't touch their pure Japanese made waifus even in their stinky minds. Sickness must be purged with nippon fire and steel.

After seeing add on gate I'm 100% in agreement with this. The game has had the policy literally since it launched. You can find Yoshi-P saying the same thing way back during 2.0 yet these entitled stream fags think that they can do whatever and surprise Pikachu face when Square actually holds them accountable because they actually enforce ToS and they continue to scream about 3rd party tools. I've seen some of these retards yelling about how discord is a third party tool and Firefox is and looking up guides would be a 3rd party tool. The absolute jackassery of some of the people is absolutely astoundingly the fact they keep to antagonize square is only going to end one way.

Thats not to mention the unstable sex pests of a certain community that's flooded a teen rated game. The fuse is already lit, it's just a matter of time before the spark hits the dynamite.

While I do obviously know about all the crazy in this fanbase and how hard it's being covered up, I don't think it would actually lead to the downfall of the game cause at the same time it's not something that every single person will have to deal with during regular gameplay, at least I don't get the impression it is.

I've been playing for years now and cause of that have also done a lot of daily roulettes and I can't remember a single time when I've been in a situation where I had to abandon a run cause of an actual full scale drama meltdown. Sure, there's been people dipping out cause of continuous wipes or mild cattiness but nothing severe. I've also joined a random FC advertised in shout chat with no issues or drama and joined party finder extremes and savages without issue and even remember one instance where we got on voice chat during prog and a guy just casually called himself retarded when failing a mechanic.

Basically my point is that I can imagine the vast majority of people trying this game out will have the same experience as I have had all these years and they're blissfully unaware of all the shit going down in private RP club discords and twitter hugboxes.

You can say the word retard and no one will bat an eye. You can say nigger and no one will bat an eye. I’ve been called spic in game jokingly and i didn’t bat an eye at all and in fact I almost felt refreshed.

VRchat also has trannies in the game too, but they are also not as bad as ffxiv. But I haven’t met a lot of them so idk if other people had bad experiences but they seem chill from what I can tell. Some didn’t even get offended by the word tranny and almost internalized the word like how blacks use “nigga”.

RPers are prevalent on my home server on ffxiv and I thought maybe that was the problem and why ffxiv’s community was the way it was, but from videos I’ve seen of VRchat rpers, all of them, if there’s a joke avatar in the server, will play along and laugh along with it. Meanwhile in ffxiv if you play as a moogle clad roegadyn and try that shit in an RP venue you’ll either be ejected or worse case scenario reported.

I play ffxiv and I play with its community and it feels like I’m surrounded by sociopaths, turbo-neet communists, and BPD stricken women. Why am I saying all this? Because at one point I said the community was unironically going to be the downfall of ffxiv and someone disputed saying that people would remain loyal no matter what. I didn’t respond because I didn’t really know how to counter it. I think I might now, there’s a point where you get exhausted having to kowtow to people who just want to control you and take advantage of you and I finally found out that was the reason why I hated playing ffxiv. It wasn’t solely because of the game itself, but because of the community and moderation.

I have a feeling in two years time, GCBTW’s image of being a welcoming and diverse community is going to eventually decay and people will get utterly fucking tired of putting up with mentally ill trannies and tranny moderators breathing down their necks if they happen to call them retarded for not playing their job right. People are going to be exhausted by leftist anarcho-commie acab kvetching in shout chat while anyone speaking out is shouted down or reported for harassment. People are going to get exhausted having to deal with discord suicide posts and crying about transphobia or being told transitioning children is okay and if anyone disagrees they’re made pariahs to ffxiv’s community.

I"ve already seen it happen. There was a guy I knew who was in Novice chat for some reason. Anyways there was some tranny who got on there and announced to everyone they where trans. Dude snapped and basically told them that nobody cares and may or may have not mentioned 41%ing themselves. Apparently he had several people whisper thanks to him. Use to have pictures but they're gone. I do have this however after I told a dude "Shut up nerd" after he was sperging in Frontline chat. Made my day and was actually refreshing.

Normally, I feel uneasy around the FF14 community. Now this could be because of years of imageboards, but the overly nice attitude is unnerving. Not to mention, I've seen people get upset over me or a friend calling them a nerd, or something else extremely tame. I get especially annoyed if people keep apologizing for small shit their doing and beat themselves up, which I can sympathize since I use to be that way, but NOBODY likes it. The amount of sex pests in this game is absurd to. There is a fairly big FC in my server called "The Lucky Sevens" or some shit and they're ALWAYS adverting. From what I heard, they have parties with dudes' slutty WoLs dancing, among other things. ERPers should be hung on site.
At the very least, my friends and I like to fuck with people by saying the absurdist shit, with hilarious results most of the time. Another thing we like to do is "Spot the Tranny". We find the ugliest characters and look at their search info and bet if they have their pronouns on there. It's a lot of fun.

Also, slut glam is low tier unless it's somehow creative which is rare. But most just slap 2B panties with a skimpy top.

I honestly would go for a male Viera if they had options to make you look like a chad, and if their headgear options weren't so limited. You'd think with a race that canonically have very few males most would be natural giga chads.

I dunno. The devs are focused on growing the game and have apparently been successful in getting folks to pick up the game by making it increasingly solo-friendly, according to a recent interview from Yoshi-P.

While the intention is to market and appeal to JRPG fans, primarily Japanese JRPG fans, this approach is more or less like catnip for these anti-social losers. People who get "anxiety" over having to play with other people, etc. are going to continue to find this game appealing.

The bloom is already off the XIV rose with the wider MMO community. The game itself is inadvertently becoming more of a hugbox for these retards, and given that fucking FFXI is still trucking, I doubt this game will 'die' any time soon.

It won't die, but this mentality was definitely the death-knell for the long and slow decline into azlheimer's that WoW underwent. Particularly given that WoW was, relative to MMOs at the time, extremely solo-player-friendly, the rush to shove Looking for Raid out the door and the push after Cata launched with rather difficult dungeons to make all dungeon content impossible to fail even for the literally braindead, the game more and more kept locking anything remotely fun or challenging behind the top 1% of content, whereas the other 99% was dedicated to the antisocial shitters. And cata was, what, twelve years ago? So it'll keep truckin'.

I still don't really understand playing an MMO and never wanting to interact with people. There's so many other fucking games, but I guess in an MMO these retards convince themselves they'll find true love or some shit. I'm wary with the broader population, sure, but I still chatter with folks here and there. Then again, when a crystal linkshell was tried, like all of 3 people were in it because it turns out lots of people from the autists-laughing-at-autists website probably did fall under the antisocial umbrella.
