Is it just me or does there seem to be less engagement, especially online engagement, for this year's pride month? Maybe I had my expectations high because I thought there would be increased protests/noise due to the anti-trans legislations in the past few months.

Maybe I am not frequenting the correct spaces. Or my expectations may be altered due to last year's pride parade, which was most likely extremely popular because the 2020 one was cancelled. But the lack of protests and trending topics about the anti-trans legislations is kind of surprising.

I can't see transsexuals doing anything to change what the government does or doesn't do. Like what's happening in places like Florida or Alabama. They're not going to do anything about the bills being proposed or laws being passed.

They're gonna try, but despite the growth of their numbers they're still a teeny tiny minority in the real world. Ultimately they'll fail because bullying and manipulation by threatening suicide aren't good ways of getting normal people to support your cause. You might get people to pay your cause lip service on social media by threatening to cancel them but as soon as those people step into the ballot box they have 0 reason to vote in your favour.

Doctors usually give you a 30 days supply, unless it's a short term thing like antibiotics or pain pills. She's running out something like twenty three days ahead of schedule! How?!

It can only be done from the age of 18, because shocker minors' bodies are still actively developing and you won't get reliable results. And yet, no one is telling myopic or hyperopic kids to go fuck themselves and suffer quietly. They're given glasses and special accommodation to their disability if needed. And if they still want the surgery by the time they're 18, then by all means they can go for it. No one is trying to force kids with glasses to live without them, no one is denying kids with glasses healthcare, no one is encouraging the bullying of kids with glasses.

Society is apparently capable of understanding the necessity of putting an age restriction on LASIK because fucking around with an undeveloped body is asking for trouble, but not with SRS and HRT evidently.

God I missed that because of the use of puberty blockers distracting me. I'm not a medfag, but I asked someone who is. They said that it sounds like one of two things: she's either abusing her script herself by doubling the dose, or two people are taking what has been given to her on the script. Which wouldn't surprise me given troons and their habit of treating hormones like candy.

In the beginning of finding the right dose for something like antidepressants or adhd drugs, sometimes a patient might increase/decrease the amount they’ve told to take b/c it’s not working or the side effects are too shitty. You are recommended to tell your doctor right away so they can write a different script and you won’t run out by the end of 30 days.
I know from experience with my adhd meds that if I was to change the dose, I’d talk to my doctor b/c he could just start a new script without having to wait for the current one to run out even though it’s a controlled substance.

They seem to be nit-picking here. Teen is a subset of "child". Not all children are teenagers, but all teenagers are children by virtue of being a minor. They are either ignorant of that fact or, as is more likely, are choosing to ignore it in the hopes that you too will ignore it.

Like the nonces that argue about the technical name for lusting after teenagers and how that's different, morally, than lusting after pre-teens, which is different than lusting after young children - when the end result is all simply lusting after children.

ETA: oh FFS a medical exam done in a doctor's office under supervision (even female practitioners in private practice often have someone else present during a pelvic exam) is not sexual assault. I haven't read the bill, but I'd be shocked if the actual language wasn't something along the lines of "required to have a physical by a physician" - where the doctor is going to ask the child and the parents what sex the child was born as, for both boys and girls, because minors don't get physical pelvic exams unless absolutely necessary. In 99% of the cases the doctor already knows what sex the kid is, because they've been seeing him or her for years, and will just provide a letter to that affect.

No one is being ~assaulted~, because assault assumes lack of consent. If a child is challenged under they rules and they actually fight back by going to a doctor, they are explicitly giving their consent to the doctor to make any/all exams necessary. That's a huge part of treatment under a doctor - consent.

I had surgery Wednesday (hardly feel a damn thing today, modern medicine is amazing) and I ended up giving consent four times, in writing, to a theoretical blood transfusion prior to surgery. To my doctor, to the hospital, on a form the pre-op nurse handed me as I was being prepped, and the anesthesiologist. Consent is a very big deal in medicine.

Edit 2: obviously you can be assaulted by a doctor. Larry Nasser for example. But 99.99% of doctors are not predators. End of.
