Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Aren't micropremies that don't go onto have serious, lifelong disabilities the exception? I would assume even the least disabled ones probably still have some issues, considering.
There are long term issues, but they aren’t always severe to the point where the person is disabled, or even very disabled. Brain development can lag and there are pulmonary issues and higher instances of deafness and blindness but folks can have a good life.
Stuff like this is a tough call because there are literally improvements happening all the time. This paper is long winded but a solid read if you are interested. It’s a bit old (2016) but probably still solid information

Worth pointing out that, except in purely medical situations, preemies are preemies for a reason. And before advancements in medical interventions they were just exceptionally late miscarriages. It's more than just being born underdeveloped; they look like something's wrong with them because there is. I imagine the bulk of them are subsequently diagnosed with various known genetic syndromes or disorders. Or with an unknown one.
I read somewhere (really need a Somewhere Medical Journal to refer to!) the reason US infant mortality is greater than some other countries is that we count the tiniest premie as a live birth, where other places consider them miscarriages.
Diagnostic facies

Wikipedia has a handy list as well

Edited to add: You will also hear doctors referring to an FLK- “funny looking kid“ who may appear to have some genetic issue going on
I remember reading somewhere that they refer to their parents as FLP.

Like Steve Jobs, neither a tard nor a baby, yet tardishly refused medical treatment for his treatable cancer in favor of juicing and bowel cleansing until it was too late.
Preemies tend to have a certain “look” to them even once they get a little older, particularly those who were born earlier than others. Puffy-appearing eyes may be part of this appearance. I wonder if this could be from having less time in that cushioned amniotic fluid? Just speculating.

One thing that many may have in common is a funny-shaped head from being stuck in their NICU beds for a while- “NICUcephaly”
Yes! That makes sense!

Poor babe was retaining fluid when she was fighting for her life. Her eyes are very large and bright.

She's not delayed either as she is hitting all her development milestones and getting great reports from her pediatrician.

Personal sperg.
An old high school friend of mine had a grandchild born at 24 weeks who required bowel surgery, and also had brain bleeds.

I don't think she escaped unharmed. Her eyes look like she's either got Downs or some other genetic disaster. But otherwise she is growing normal and reaching physical milestones.
Possible that there is something genetic at work which might have caused the premature labor - but premature infants have a high rate of eye problems. I seem to recall this is because 1) premature but 2) the O2 used to keep their immature lungs alive can cause bleeding at the retina.

Not a medical sperg. Just my casual knowledge.

Anyway, hoping that kid is OK.

Today and tomorrow are the final hearings for Archie Battersbee. The judge has ordered more tests (which the parents can't refuse) to see what state the boy is in.

The mother claims that the doctors are stopping feeds without reason and believes that they are trying to weaken his heart before the trial so they can claim he's deteriorating.

Lawyers say that Archie has stopped digesting feeds and that the results of the new tests are going to paint a grim picture of reality.

If nothing else, I hope this means the poor kid will finally be laid to rest. I'd imagine the doctors version of the situation is closer to reality than Hollie's and I don't doubt his digestive system (and probably the rest of his body) is starting to shut down.

Rest easy Archie, and may your mom not be able to flog your corpse for attention much longer :heart-empty:

I'm confused as to what this implies. If he not absorbing food properly does that mean his pituitary gland is fucked because he yeeted himself so hard? Or is it because without sensory input his vagus nerve/medulla oblongata isn't signaling his digestive tract anymore?

Our star resident tard baby Luna Ramirez looks like she has been losing weight lately and this statement makes me wonder if her cysts are causing a level of brain deterioration and dysfunction similar to Archie's.

I want to shake his mother by her shoulders and yell "You cannot STARVE a corpse!"
It's really unfair of her to accuse the hospital of neglect when they seem to care more about the boys well being than she does.

It happened to Jahi. A doctor testified that her bowels have "sloughed off" inside. The bowels know what's going on,so they stop working.

Coretta Scott King died at a Tijuana cancer "clinic." IDK if it was a Gerson facility; if you've heard of people using coffee enemas to "treat" cancer, that was devised as part of the Gerson therapy, along with extensive juicing (which you drink). Granted, in the 1920s when it was invented, it probably worked about as well as anything else available at the time.

This was a poster commissioned by the US Government, published about 10 years after Gerson started pushing his "therapy". Back then, real doctors didn't know that much about treating cancer. But they did know the quacks were full of shit and just trying to scam people.

I’ve always wondered if they’ve done any studies on micropreemies into adulthood. I only have a couple people I’ve known who were the first generation of micropreemies and to a one they were all fucked up humans: Irresponsible, drug/alcohol addicts, and lacking impulse control/maturity well into their 30s. It’s a small pool, but the consistency of absolute trash human behaviors makes me very curious how these preemies turn out as adults.
I think it's worth considering that these traits may not be caused by them being preemies, but by being coddled by their parents throughout their childhoods. I'd imagine that a lot of parents would spoil their kid as a miracle survivor and would keep them extra worried. At least I immediately associate the things you wrote about with being spoiled.

Totally unscientific but I know a lady who was Australia's youngest surviving miracle preemie at the time. 23 weeks. She's fine, adult woman in her early 40s. Healthy and mentally sharp, just a bit small in stature. Had 2 healthy kids apart from them having issues with their teeth which is apparently connected to it all.

She was national news as a tot but being made a fuss of hasn't affected her badly at all .

I think it can be either or. Human responses are a huge variable when it comes to behavior, though I suspect it can be a mix of the two.
And different people handle being spoiled/famous differently. It’s one of those things unlikely to ever be teased out properly since there are so few adult micropreemies in existence.

As for Archie. Poor lad. The way the doctors talk, “very little chance” might as well be “no chance”. I wish doctors could use laypeoples language and just say that he’s toast, but “very little chance” is as grim as it gets. If his brain stem is rotting, then he is really and properly gone.

Just cos i can't stop looking at the purple wave page, I feel like there must be a word for this in German. The bizarre juxtaposition of the dying child, the conspiracy theories and this raffle being called. Is it me or is the tone not quite as somber as might be. Almost like this is a fun social hobby for some of them. Msg me to claim your prizes huns xxxx

The fuck did they even win? Do I want to know what the prizes for a raffle about an IRL Weekend at Bernie's act w/a dead kid are?

I get the sneaking suspicion Hollie is paying more attention to Archie as a corpse than when he was alive.

I'm imagining a meat raffle like you might get in a flat roof pub. Or MLM shit.
