Street Fighter 6 + Darkstalkers News! - *Morrigan laugh*

will it have crossplay between consoles and pc, and more importantly, will it have good netcode?
sfv having janky shit netcode was a massive problem that really impacted its long term success in a very negative way. if sf6 has similar problems i don't see it doing any better.

I really dislike how so many games like FF and even SF are trying to give their characters more "realistic" facial features (even the new Dragon Quest movie just abandoned the Toriyama-esque designs for Dreamworks/Pixar-inspired crap designs). Not only does it remove the unique stylized designs that makes them look unique, but that crap just ends up looking like uncanny valley shit and doesn't mesh well with the few "cartoonish" traits the characters still have from their old designs. I get that they want to pander to westerners by trying to look like Dreamworks characters (which is dumb), but this just looks bad.

Did SF5 ever get any single player content worth a damn. I remember all it had was like some survival mode thing.

I hope 6 has something for people burned on online to do, Blazblue's abyss was great for just throwing a character in to see what you can do

"Arcade" mode

And then there was that time they allows people to fight "Shadow Lady" whom proceeded to kick everyone's ass

To add to the arcade mode posts above they added those challenges and survival modes that had you fight generic npcs with different rarity that had different properties.

Outside of Shadow lady they had boss versions of Ryu and Nash as well.

Didn't they add the barrel break and car break mini games too?

Just the barrel break. Last appearance of the car mini game was in sf4 sadly

Credit where credit is due, adding Shadow Lady as a hard af boss mode is pretty cool. That and V is the only game that had playable Gill and Bison which is something.

Guilty Gears provides such an amazing template and it's like nobody even notices. If you want cartoony you've got your choice of many different looks. If you want realistic, stick with Guilty Gears cel-shaded pseudo-anime style. It's the closest you can come before you swerve into uncanny valley bullshit.

Isn't it obvious to them that they can't get it done? The characters always look wrong. But it probably is obvious and the suits just say "looks great and this is what players want". Well it's not what I want and until they give me what I want I won't buy the game. Take that Capcom. Imagine how many dollars I could be giving you and now watch as I give you none of them.

The only thing this realistic shit does is sucking all the charm these games have, like you say now there's a lot of uncanny valley because the characters where never meant to be portrayed like that and only it makes you uncomfortable when you see horse leg Chun-li or 4:3 ratio chest Ryu. Also all these new characters are starting to look more and more like rejects from Tekken.

It definitely looks like it understands how to embrace its stylistic look without forsaking it for hammy "realism".

Meanwhile the attempts to look more "realistic" used by most companies (either for graphics or to appeal to westerners or whatever) not only looks bad but it makes all the characters look like bizarre gelfling hybrids.
