So after reading the thread, I want to propose some more... reactionary precautions to the A&H menace. I don't suggest all of these at once but here are my harsher ideas.

1. Autism Firewall.
When entering the Thunder dome, a full screen warning should appear, listing the rules and that this place is a hell hole. Have to do this every time you enter from the homepage and if you re-start your session.

2. Townwatch/Snitches get kisses.
To my eternal embarrassment, I used to post on Newgrounds. now something they did that's interesting and was introduced due to them having the same issue that politics get heated. users In short, had a "Whistle" rating, the more content you "blam" (neg rate) or report and if the content was removed by staff/voted out then your whistle rating would go up. everyone starts with a normal whistle but it gets better or worse if your mis reporting or neg rating content that other users think is good. For us it may be moderation team removal of content or if a user gets a warn.

This helps create some "civic duty" and we would encourage reporting in the thunder dome and let users know that they are being helpful.

3. Look at my shiny medals
In the thunderdome we could expose user scores under there PFP to help encourage good edicate, we could even make it so that we only expose there A&H score and not sitewide score.

4. "Kind Reminders"
If a new account jumps straight onto A&H or a user has overwhelming interactions with the dome, we could send them an automated notification like; "HI! Glad your enjoying talking about current events! Please however remember that this is a drama forum..." Or some shit like that

Its not about illegal content, thats very rare and not a problem, the issue is, autistic users who refuse to intergrate with the forum, they just use it as a paracitic dumping ground to make there low-iq points and revel in the fact they can say naughty no-no words about the men in funny hats. Theres lots of content which is not illegal in the USA BUT it is embarrasing and the forum is looking at ways to curtail that.
