Tom undergoing ego-death would either finally help him fix his godawful shitty mess of a life in his final days on this Earth, or straight up kill him.

I believe it involves inhaling fumes from boiling gasoline and other petrochemicals.

It sounds like the most natural and in tune with nature way of getting high!

Failing that of course, there is auto erotic asphyxiation.

I've been smoking weed since about this time in 1966 and had tasted most common street drugs other than LSD by the time I was 20 , @malleusmaleficarum . I had a neighbor who was into getting high on anything you could get high on and i think powdered datura was one of the things we tried. i don't recall any of the botanicals, like yojimbe, kava and betel nuts to have had very strong effects. Me and pharmaceuticals never got along. If it grows in the ground and gets you high, I'm likely to try it, but there is no way i'm going to be using things like belladonna and scopolomine to get high when there are so many safer, pleasant trips from other plants and fungi. I have friends who eat Amanita muscaria safely.

I avoided LSD until 1982 and had some pretty crazy experiences with that i've talked about in the past. The most nuts on a small scale was when a bunch of rainboneheads dosed going into a sweat lodge , the biggest, strongest one freaking out into a rampage and on a large scale, when some LSD pretender got into the crowd, causing a mass freak out when somebody was taken into custody at a hemp harvest festival in Madison.l I microdose psilocybin pretty regularly now and don't use LSD unless somebody I know real well has it.

Do tell, Blake. I was supposed to meet with Teresa the day her son died and Jenny Kastner's grandson, Lil Peep, died around the corner from where i was living. I have a friend who had been chipping heroin for years who died from it. I've lost count of all the overdoses, suicides, car wrecks and murders of friends of friends , but do go on spreading your paranoid schizophrenic delusions about me, son.

It actually isn't, surprisingly. I've had detoxified ones before (easy to do, just parboil them and dispose of the water. No longer toxic or hallucinogenic, tastes kind of nutty.)

They don't really kill people though, even raw from what I've read. Just make a person puke and shit, while the body shakes and sweats.
