Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

I am having a bit of trouble currently, so maybe you guys can help.

Recently, I went out and got the special pro controller for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It shipped from Japan and all looks good. So I tried to hook it up, and the thing is being a total bitch about it. It struggles to pair, refuses to update, and the rumble was atrocious when playing Mario Kart.

I did get it to work, and it can be a decent controller, but even still, no updates and you cannot turn on the Switch by pressing home.

Is there issues between regions with controllers, or is the controller just a piece of shit? I am hoping it is the ladder as I have a Splatoon one coming too, so I would hate to waste money on two non-functioning controllers when a region free system should be fine with it.

I tried to ask about it on the Switch Reddit, but no technical questions allowed because you cannot discuss or something. There are tons of issues threads from that very Reddit you can find on Google, but I guess they are now banning it.

No idea, but I don’t think region would be an issue. Is it a first party controller? Have you tried a direct wired connection instead of wireless? Can you see how it works on a PC?

It came new in box, so I would assume it to be a legit Nintendo product as no indicators suggest otherwise. I have gotten it to pair with the system, but it was wonky to do so. Now the issue is that it cannot turn on the Switch with the home button, and the system says unable to update controller if I try to do so.

Also, rumble seems bad on it compared to my Smash edition one. I am not sure what it’s issue is?

I mean is it an actual made-by-Nintendo controller, or is it a third party controller that’s only licensed by Nintendo (like PowerA)? And I suggest you try a wired connection just to see if it fixes the problems you mentioned.
(Also, I’m not an expert on controllers, these are just things I would try.)

It is the officially licensed one, not Power A.

Wired doesn’t do anything sadly…

There should not be any region issues. You may have a faulty controller.

Also fuck all of you that rated me mad fuck you fuck you fuck you et cereta. Feel that nostalgia for a classic @Dark Edea post.

Played the first two hours of the Fire Emblem musou so far (finished stage 3 on the Eagle house route). Looks pretty decent and promising but it has lengthy VN segments compared to other musou games.

I have a Taiko Tatsujin drum (from Horii) and the Densha de Go! handle controller (from Zuiki) which are both imported japanese products working fine on my system. Granted they're both usb-wired but region shouldn't be an issue whatsoever.

Oh boy Nintendo has a worse queue system than limited run games.

Holy shit they really spared every expense with their website store.

Shame they only have XB3 Special on their site, and there’s still a queue. I actually would’ve liked an artbook. Don’t usually spring for this crap.

Nintendo took down the Xenoblade 3 Special Edition pre-order and kept up the Empty TBD listing.

Oh boy if it's not coming back people are going to be pissed. The site has been fucked for roughly 6-8 hours everything is still fucking up.

I sat through the queue and once the page loaded I got an error. Which means they pulled the page entirely.

update:
They have now taken down the shopping cart and you can't purchase anything without an error, they really fucked the whole thing up and all it took was Xenoblade. Just imagine what will happen when the BOTW2 SE Nintendo Store Exclusivity is announced.

Nintendo just tweeted this
Pre-purchase of the Special Edition will be made available again at a later date. An update will be provided once that timing is determined.

So there's no sell out of Xenoblade 3, it's just been pulled from sale until the website gets fixed. I hope they drop the Nintendo store exclusive and allow other retailers to offer it.

Let me tell you about Mario Strikers: Peach and Rosalina have never looked so fuckable.
Except it's Donkey Kong who's getting all the attention because they're making him wear pants.
