This might be a strategical mistake. The russians should have guarantee captured most if not all of the known the reddit volunteers before putting them on trial. Now, they have no reason to surrender to Russian or separatist soldiers.

They reportedly blew up most of them in airstrikes already. It's probably a bigger benefit to make new ones scared to come than to lull the handful who are still there into a false sense of security.

Haha, you'd get further by tying your dick to a ceiling fan. The DNR isn't gonna release them, and Russia isn't overly eager to make nice with the West at the moment. The best Aslin and Co. can hope for is that Ukraine miraculously turns the tide and captures whatever prison they happen to be in while they await their deaths.
