Trump baiting them for tonight. My theory is he knows MAGA is becoming more and more a callback to cheap gas, good wages, greater security, no wars. So he's trying to connect fraud election to the current shithole we're in, that rigged election = current malaise. You don't want malaise, so it means you don't want rigged elections. He's hit Joepedo repeatedly about what he was going to do but this is much more direct and not politician talk about the other side.

If you have no intention of losing the House, then explain why you and your party are doing everything in their power to drive gas prices up and the value of the dollar into the floor? No amount of shenanigans will save you from the wrath of a voting public angry whose life savings are evaporating and that they have to choose between gas or groceries.

Expect a lot of Emergency Fortifying™️ come November.

I will, but people are so pissed that the economy is going down the shitter that whatever they try won't be enough to stave of a hardcore reaming at the ballot box.
The new plan appears to be having the FBI arrest opposition candidates for vague and undefined "crimes against democracy" Soviet style.

Yes, enrage the Russians further as well in addition to already pissing off the American people at home since they view the war in Ukraine as an attempt to stop American interference with their surrounding sphere of influence.

I am so fucking irritated that this latest bout of boomers reliving the Cold War has probably lasted long enough now that Milennials are going to pull the same shit going forward.
MOVE ON. We have bigger, more obvious enemies than a dying slav state with a GDP lower than that of Italy.

Probably but it will also be gayer and lame.

Because unlike the boomer who suffered from the threat of a nuclear bomb while hiding under the desk.

The millenials are pissed at Putin for not being a "goody two shoes" and rather decided to cuck and subvert King Nigger at every turn, and is doing the same with Biden rather than just listen and obey American shitlibs.

Joe Biden: "The Second Amendment is not absolute."

Uh. Joe. What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED", do you not understand, you dumb motherfucker?
For something that Shall (as in: Is legally not allowed to be) not be infringed (delayed, disuaded, taxed, etc), they've been successfully infringing it since 1937.

So why wouldn't think they they can keep infringing it, over and over again, until they make magic pixies cause all the guns to vanish, except for the righteous policemans and the FEMA enforcers they'll have lined up for the year after the pixies arrive? They've literally been getting away with it for almost a century.

Also, I'm presuming you've all seen this:

Optimistically: The Dems have no fucking idea what they are doing and can't govern for shit. They are disconnected from reality and think as long as we continue to call the other side mean doo-doo meanies then everyone will vote for us.

Pessimistically: The Dems know exactly what they are doing, and don't give a flying fuck if people are hurting as long as they get what they want. Label the other side as facist terrorist and tell everyone they really only have one choice to vote for and if that doesn't work time to brush off the vans filled with ballots for a delivery at 1 in the morning.

Yeah, fat lot of good that did.

McCarthy did nothing wrong.
You see the “crazy” predictions from the most wild-eyed Bircher from the 1950s and not only were they right, they had no idea how bad things would become. I don’t think anyone from McCarthy’s time knew how bad things would get.

Realistically there are no consequences or accountability for these people. Congress or most elected positions are just a means to an end. If they lose an election, they get rewarded by a private sector job, academia, or NGO making more money than they did at Congress. So if you see no consequences from your actions, why would you change? Just be an ideologue and once you get into the right positions, like Congress, you never have to worry about anything again.

Changing your position to listen to your constituents? Now that’s something they may suffer actual consequences from.

Honestly, it wouldn't do me much good to have a weapon at all in the house due to my past history in dealing with depression (I go to some dark places during it, and I'd be more worried about turning it on myself than someone else), but that doesn't mean I don't recognize someone else's right to self defense and the hope that if I'm ever in the shit that someone will save my ass.

Regardless on your personal beliefs about firearms, The Constitution and The Bill of Rights have made it quite clear. "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" wasn't a suggestion. It was a directive.

Big lulz.

Ex-Dem Congressman Who Took Abscam Bribes Admits To Rigging Philly Elections

(article)
A Democrat who was booted from the House of Representatives and went to prison for his role in a 1970s bribery scandal pleaded guilty Monday to stuffing Philadelphia-area ballot boxes with fraudulent votes for years to get his party’s candidates elected.

Former U.S. Rep. Michael J. “Ozzie” Myers, who was expelled from Congress in 1980 after being caught taking bribes in the Abscam sting investigation, cheated to help local candidates he worked for win the elections, federal prosecutors said. Myers, 79, was a political consultant in the Philadelphia area.

“Votes are not things to be purchased and democracy is not for sale,” U.S. Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams said in a news release.

Myers pleaded guilty to violations of election law, conspiracy, bribery and obstruction. Prosecutors said Myers stuffed ballot boxes in elections from 2014-2018.

Myers’ “criminal efforts were generally, although not exclusively, directed at securing election victories for local judicial candidates running for Philadelphia’s Court of Common Pleas or Municipal Court who had employed Myers as a ‘political consultant,’” prosecutors said.

Myers admitted he bribed elections judge Domenick Demuro to add votes for his chosen candidates, including clients who were running for judge. The bribes were for as little as $300 and as much as $5,000, authorities said. Demuro pleaded guilty in May 2020 and was convicted for his role in accepting bribes to cast fraudulent ballots and certify false voting results. Myers also conspired with another elections judge, Marie Beren, to pressure voters on election days to vote for candidates that Myers had selected. Been, who cast fraudulent votes for people who did not appear at the polls, pleaded guilty to election crimes last October.

In the late 1970s Abscam sting, Myers, then a two-term congressman, was convicted of bribery and conspiracy for taking $50,000 from FBI agents posing as Arab sheiks. He served just over a year in prison. Myers had served six years in the Pennsylvania legislature before being elected to Congress in 1976.

The Abscam sting swept up five other U.S. House members all but one of whom were Democrats, U.S. Senator Harrison Williams, (D-N.J.), three Philadelphia City Council members and the then-mayor of Camden.

One of the House members netted in the sting, South Carolina Democrat John Jenrette, was famously caught telling an undercover agent posing as a sheikh and offering a bribe, “I’ve got larceny in my blood. I’d take it in a goddamn minute.”

Myers faces up to 20 years in prison on the new charges.
