The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Some people here are already suggesting that if Druckmann goes as far as to make changes to the story, he'd take the opportunity to disparage Joel. I'm particularly reminded of Druckmann's batty view of the game's beloved ending in which he always thought that Joel was in the wrong, so I wonder if he'll tweak story elements to validate that view.

The first thing that came to my mind, though, is that Druckmann will make Ellie gayer.
Yeah, it's almost certain that this shitshow is going to be Druckman retconning shit to make the 'real' version a.k.a. the version he wanted all along and now the people who stopped him before no longer work at the company he is copresident of.

He already did! Remember the doctor that wanted to kill a teenager for a basic, bitch ass biopsy?

White in the first game, but when he's shown in the second, black as night.

Clearly cuckman wanted to make it a racial injustice, but all he succeeded in was making it look like black folks have no idea how medicine works.

In addition to all of the TLOU1 news, a scene from the HBO TLOU show has also been revealed:

This scene looks very off-putting for some reason.

“we’ve been working really really hard on the multiplayer, so much in fact that it’s become it’s own big thing with its own story and it’s gonna be really unique and amazing and full of stuff…so here’s some concept art, don’t expect anything until next year.”

They haven’t even fucking started on it.

This scene looks very off-putting for some reason.

The lighting is very strange. They're obviously trying to hide, there's also obviously a light just behind GoT Boss Queen's right arm. They'd both get capped from a football field away. And the lighting paired with her face makes her look inhuman.

Yep, only 6 million copies after the day 1 sales of 4+ million, and probably 6-7 million week 1. Meaning only 3-4 million after the launch week. With massive discounts within weeks and ever since. This is why no DLC and no multiplayer for 2. This is why they're re-re-making TLoU-1 instead of adding content to 2.

Huge fall from grace, especially when keeping in mind, more than half the lifetime sales are from hype from Part 1. For the remake, chances are almost 100% that Cuckmann retcons parts of 1, either subtly ala facial expression changes completely changing the implication of a scene, or blatantly with Abby showing up and Joel being evil etc.

2 years to re-re-make a game. What a pathetic state for a previously esteemed game development studio.

At least Xenoblade 1 had the excuse of being a Wii game.

A remake of a remake goddamn.
Yeah, that was a game that was crying out for a remake, you can compare it to semi-same gen JRPG game like The last remnant and Infinite Undiscovery to see how much it needed an upgrade.

"We only had the animations, story, sounds, music, voice acting and gameplay.
This is why we had to create new textures. It's what a Remake is all about.
And ultimately, a game like this, which did so much more than raise the fag flag each June for
our pedophiles and mentally disabled, deserves that dedication. when it comes to remaking things."

It annoys me that the TV show will probably get multiple seasons because people will watch any old shit on streaming services.
And it’s definitely gonna be better than the walking dead. Doesn’t take much to be better than that.

I think those saying "this doesn't need to exist" are missing the obvious. The TV show is going to introduce the franchise to a bunch of people who aren't familiar with it, so in the chance they like it and want to follow up by playing the game, Sony needs a game to sell them - and they'll make more money selling a new $70 game than a discounted old one or a used one. It's really only natural that this game gets remade at this time.

The fact that you're being optimistic about this part concerns me.

Anytime a video game series gets turned into a TV show or even a movie, the studios almost NEVER stay with the source material they are given with and add their own dumb bullshit. The 90's was full of that crap during the 8-bit/16-bit era.

Considering this is not only current year but the fact that it's TLoU should raise big-ass bright red flags because you know damn well cuckman is going to add even MORE progressive shit into this show than what was in the games.

I would like some evidence that this shit actually works long term.

Well you see the Halo TV series and Uncharted films came out resulting in a massive influx of new sales and fans for those franchises.

Nah just kidding, they didn't even register as a blip on the sales charts
I don't even mean just the bad ones, I want to know how many people who say Watched Arcane which is supposed to have been absolutely amazing...actually spent money on LOL.

Was it not reporter that the witcher 3 had a Massive sales boost when the series started airing?
