I think nobody expected this to last a year. We probably all figured Chris would be out until his next hearing, rinse and repeat, rather than locked up for the entire year with very limited contact.

I'm not sure if Chris learned any new "prison lifehacks" while at the mental hospital, especially if he was free to roam around. You know, the things like "Man if some CO shoves you, you can sue em for thousands!". He did mention that mysterious tranny friend of his for a short time, and I can't imagine he wouldn't be interacting with other prisoners/patients both at the jail and hospital, up until the corrections officers decided he should be in segregation.
