It stops them from being tagged in the post. Most people on twitter dont have the balls to tag the person they are calling out in their callout post.

Any interaction with the tweet will also notify anyone tagged in the post - every like, RT, reply (for the people who don't understand how to untag people) will also ping the person being called out. Since most of these posts are along the lines of "hey, don't interact with this person!" and the average Twitter user is completely inept at using the site, keeping the proper tag will result in interacting with that person, if not shit up their notifications entirely.

I'm not entirely certain if keeping the tag would fall under harassment guidelines because of said shitted notifications, but I have a feeling it does so it's better to not actually tag them.

I like that nobody on green’s twitter is confronting him about it or saying something about it. i’ve looked all over his pages , no mention of the google document unless i could be wrong. but i do not expect his mindless coomer children fanbase to even care or acknowledge, or understand.the doc is spreading around, but people are still pissed at puppychan (as they should). i’m not going to screenshot every tweet i see that’s the latest, but you get the point. the pseudonym “puppychan” is such a bad stain in the coomer artist community over there and i’m living for it because people are comparing other degenerate artists to her. she literally cannot use that name anymore/start a new twitter :woo::hah:

Honestly, the further that kid distances himself from Puppy and works on not being a lolcow himself, the better.
It would be interesting if he could show more of their dms, but at this point, it's not worth it as he is clearly too young/mentally able to handle that kind of audience or responsibility. The further he stays away from that past and continues modding tf2, the better.

I understand that that was the motivation, but why don't they just, I don't know, not put the fucking @ symbol? Do they think their followers are too stupid to figure out that these Twitter drama addicts are talking about another Twitter user? It would make sense if putting a slash made it not appear in searches (which is what tumblr did iirc).
