Her ability to speak is not what's being trashed, it's the half ass nature of her call-ins. Just about every EN girl woke up super fucking early with full energy shining to celebrate her 3D debut/birthday and concert and she can't even muster up anything other than some shitty audio recording. While she might have had the excuse with Ina that she was travelling state side with limited equipment, this time around she had just spent 3 days with Kiara at her home and studio. They both could have recorded something for her.

They're wishing happy birthday to friends, do you think the production quality of the message matters to them? Wishing someone a happy birthday is literally the definition of "it's the thought that counts" It's not like Ina and Sana are left sitting and thinking "dang the thing I wanted for my birthday was to see my friends live 2d model wobbling around while they told me happy birthday"

It's like getting mad a family just called you on the phone instead of facetiming you. Travel complicates shit, time zones complicate shit, Nobody was saying Gura was a shitty friend for not going to Calli's 3d concert (and anyone that would say that is equally autistic)

The vtuber birthday thing is the most alien part of the experience to me because it's not their real birthday. I'm not so far gone as a weeb I celebrate my favorite anime girl's birthday, so likewise vtuber birthday's are just kind of there - a vehicle for merch pushing and they all have to play act to be in on it. Man that sounds pessimistic but that's life.
I wanna see that full art Pako did for Sana's birthday sleeve thing though, awooga.

I'd be on board with that sentiment if Calli didn't have a long track record of last minuting everything that didn't involve her at the forefront.
