This may be farfetched, but is it at all possible that she has quietly had a spinal/cervical injury severe enough that she's become entirely immobile, but her muscles are still constricted beyond repair so she's remained curly?

Or perhaps, would the total annihilation of whatever sector of her brain that's responsible for movement result in immobility, despite seizures? Her eyes still read "gotta seize, brb" but obviously her body doesn't anymore.

It's just bonkers how still she is these days.

Filters generally have a blanket blur effect on the entire face. She uses the filter and edits over the top of them because they can only hide so much.

Where you see the circular blurs that stand out from the other skin it’s most likely she has used a blur or clone tool to mask imperfections using Facetune/photoshop or similar. I know she has done this because in the filtered videos of the same day you can see the bruise and rash clearly, but in this photo they have been masked.

I’m assuming Robyn has knocked it off with the chiropractor, as he would have noticed any mechanical problems.

It is entirely possible she has tons of contractures. And she has teh PT/OT now do chiro on Luna shes shown vids of it.

I can't say the exact mechanism, but considering both of the Hartley Holligans did the same thing, it's just part of the potato shut down process. What you're proposing is technically possible but it's far more likely it's just Luna deteriorating.

This is one of the nicest things anyone has said to me in a long time and it made me all weird and and I didn't know how to respond so I just avoided the thread because I'm a turbo sperg. Thank you.

Awesome explanation for that, thanks. I have a friend who has a wee lad with hydrocephalus (25 weeker) and his shunt blocked a couple weeks back and needed replaced. It's good to have an insight into exactly what that entails.

Though seeing the hell that both my friend and her son have been through the past weeks makes me hate Globyn even more for putting Luna through such a brutal surgery and recovery when it doesn't give her any quality of life.

Fortunately, fixing a clogged shunt is not quite as involved as installing a new one. They're designed so that the tubing part can be changed out without actually needing to mess with the brain. I hope your friend's boy is feeling better now. It seems like the kind of thing where once it's fixed, the relief is pretty much instantaneous, but surgery is surgery. He's gotta be tough if he made it at 25 weeks!

Question for @Thomas Eugene Paris and others. Assuming Luna isn’t dead in the video @GenociderSyo posted, and she is in fact asleep, wouldn’t her eyes be moving at least a little bit? I’ve never seen any creature look frozen like this that wasn’t dead. It’s creepy AF. She can’t possibly breathe through those tiny nostrils, right? Shouldn’t she be making some breathing noise or noticeable movement in her chest? Are her ears bending in half?
Meanwhile robyn just waves a Healy around Luna to balance her quantum vibes and takes her for a blow dry.

I actually think she doesn't have enough brain left to experience REM sleep, which is pretty mind-blowing, no pun intended. Like I've said before, she really is treading wholly new ground here in terms of her neuroanatomy and the manifestations thereof. Who knows what is going on when she's "asleep". I'm curious if it's a regular, cyclical thing or if she just periodically goes into standby mode. Is it synchronized with light and dark cycles? Can she be roused? Are there behavioral changes that indicate it's going to happen or does she just kind of go limp? What is her respiratory pattern like while she's...doing whatever it is she's doing? So many questions.

When Luna had that sleep study a while ago, Robyn was weirdly silent about the results, which makes me think that it was very abnormal in a way that can't be spun to sound better. I mean, obviously it was very abnormal but Robyn's reaction to it was unusual.

Excuse my back to back posting, but I think she's posturing, which is why she looks so stiff and unnatural. Posturing is a sign of severe, global brain damage.

Also, @FreakyFredsTrannyGranny, brain damage can cause muscles to become abnormally tense and contracted. It's totally different than the paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. It's been discussed in this thread, but in short, the muscle stiffness is caused by brain dysfunction.

Without lots of gentle stretching, physical therapy, and braces or splints, it becomes permanent and results in major deformity of the bones and joints. If Luna were able to feel pain, she would be in agony all the time.

I'd be happy just to see an MRI. I'm not really even sure what good it would do to study her. It's a philosophical question, I guess. Can a brain that is so fucked up as to be unrecognizable as such actually tell us anything about how brains work?

Edited to say that I think there's not much to be learned from Luna's brain that would help other patients in any meaningful way. It's just not a condition that is encountered very often, and clinical or translational researchers probably wouldn't be into it. From a basic research standpoint, though, it would be interesting. Again, plz let me do it. I'll be respectful I promise.

Coupled with your post and Robyn not giving Luna her pain meds, it’s like she is living in a sarcophagus of torture.
Please tell me her pain receptors aren’t functional.
Also, if Luna is thriving, then it mean she’s doing a great job. Luna not thriving means she has to accept the consequences of her actions. Luna is alive, so she’s the best momma

There can’t be that many Luna’s in the US, so she should be of interest just for living as long as she has. She’s sort of a trailblazer. Good jahb Robyn for choosing to prolong Luna’s suffering.

Luna’s repetitive arm and leg motion seems to have almost stopped, do you think we’re getting close to that beginning stage of brain herniation you posted about recently? (Sorry if I botched the term, I remember there were a few different ways it can happen).
