100% It's not her fault that her neuro-divergence makes her incapable of reading and watching simultaneously. She can't control that.
But her autism and oppositional defiant disorder make her lash out and dig her heels to the point where it is inexcusable. We can only guess whether it's her parents or the social workers in the group home that are to blame for this maladaptation to her autism. I'm sure it doesn't help that Lily announces all her video topics weeks before she makes them. From just that alone we can usually predict just what that video will be about because she is predictable--presumably on purpose. You almost want to admire the transparency if it didn't make her content dreadfully boring to consume. Her videos are like a compilation of her tumblr posts in video form for all the people who don't follow her on tumblr. For everyone else, it's about the same fucking topic she's been fixated on for a week.

Weebs aren’t into Revolutionary Girl Utena. It’s not one of the older, classic anime that gets recommended like Cowboy Bebop.
Revolutionary Girl Utena is often recommended for people who like the magical girl genre, or for lesbian/queer people. In other words, it could absolutely be something that Lily would like.
(I swear I’ve said she could like magical girl anime in general before. Lots of focus on female relationships? Longer shows get filler episodes that are more slice of life? Underage lesbians? The 90s anime of Sailor Moon and shows like it seem like it’d be exactly her shit.)

I'm leaning towards the lacking empathy thing. It's normal and a regular amount of cynical to scoff at examples that attempt diplomacy in extreme situations , but advocating for the death of the people wanting it puts it over the top for me.
If Liliana just said that she doesn't like anime usually becaue usually has questionable themes (that I don't believe for a second actually upsets her when she writes things on the same level as a lowgrade hentai anime, it's purely for posturing), nobody would care.
If Liliana just said that she prefers dubs over subs because her limited brain can only handle so much, nobody would mind.
It's the point where Liliana goes out of her way to want to drag Japan and it's culture, despite having no real knowledge of either, because of those two things where she is just racist.
When she goes on those rants it's not about weebs or her preferences anymore, it's about "the Chad multicultural company vs the Virgin monocultural ones", about Japan trying to pander to westeners and failing at it and how everyone who feel a minimun of respect for the culture/language to want to know about it just does it for sexual pleasure (since Liliana only knows how to project), because what other reason there could be?
I'm sure she had French in school, and I'm sure she never ever practiced it afterwards- she said it on stream last week that she can't speak any other language. And she shat on Montreal a lot in a past stream, because they use French and pronounce poutine correctly.
She doesn't know what bilingual means either. It's when you're fluent in another language and you can use it without difficulty. Lily can't even say poutine without difficulty.
And she used to throw shitfits wehen people corrected her on her Slurred Speech video, about her translations for queer being inacurate - because she couldn't get that because two words sound kinda similair in a different language, they don't automatically mean the same thing (or carry the same implications).
Honestly, I also can't see her learn a foregin language. At all. First because you need to adapt, secondly because you musn't take yourself too seriously. You are gonna make a shit ton of mistakens and can barely speak better tan a toddler at the beginning. That can be a huge blownto the ego if you're someone who cares too much about how they are percieved by others.
I don't care about her dub vs sub opinions, but her treatment of other cultures and languages and as tho people have invented those just to make her life difficult ... just gives off colonial vibes. Like she wants to extend a sense of control over other cultures, because they are different and that scares her. I wonder is she also gets pissed at imigrants who can't speak good English. And she has to put effort into conversing with.
Because at the end of the day, Lily is a descended of another culture herself. A culture with its own language. Imagine if someone said the shit she says about Tsalagi.

From the knowledge of watching her streams: She didn't like how the old puppet would awkardla slide into frame, and wanted the new puppet to have extra two poses depicting it running into frame.
The finnished product doesn't look like it at all and it doesn't help that the voiceover starts before the puppet has finnished setting into frame and that Lily's voice sounds so bored while the action portraied looks frantic.
I don't know why she looks worried in the first frame tho? Actually, thinking about it, she looks like them anime girls that are lato for class; Here at least it's clear she's running tho

I see Utena recommended by hardcore anime fans all the time, mostly for its trippy visuals and dark subject matter. Granted, it is still very popular among LGBT+ people, but it's one of those shows that has transcended that particular niche.

She didn't put any actual thought into that diagram of hers, plenty of anime that "is actually good" is liked by "weebs" as well. I think she got so caught up in her own cleverness with this visual gag that she forgot DBZ, the most obvious example she could have pointed to.
Jesus fuck. These puppets look like an ass. The posing, The Sillloutte. Hell, the fucking measurements of the anatomy look off. The eyes boreline hit the bug eye territory. The head has too big of a forehead to look decent. Like the more, I look at it. The more I am at awe. Is this the best he could approve?

It just occured to me that I don't know if Liliana even wanted Mikaila to do the puppet but she was too lazy/poor to comission another artist or she "chose" her because she's already her art slave for everything else so she should just do her job and do this other thing for her, no matter how stupid her demands about it are or how rushed. I wouldn't be surprised to know that Ginger was the original first choice to make a new puppet but she was out of the picture before that or she just refused because it was a lot of work.
I just can't believe that Lilliana doesn't see this as a downgrade, but I can't see it either as she toughining up because Mikaila wanted to do this for her so badly and it would hurt her feelings if Liliana didn't use it. I don't understand what is she thinking. It's a control thing? It's a spite thing, just ignore all the obvious flaws in case it makes someone mad?
200$ for a puppet that includes animation frames would be a steal on the art community, and that is the whole "allowance" Mikaila recieves each month, with no clarification if that money is because of her contribution to the channel with her own videos or just for the art.
Either way it's ugly, down to the way it was created and to how it looks.
