With the kind of scratch they pull in and the ads littered throughout the show, I was expecting something more than a dollar store Oscars. I mean Jesus Christ, Jerma's award broke a few minutes after he got the damn thing.

If you are wanting a more laid back and genuinely funny experience in the same caliber. You are more likely to get it by going to Etalyx. He streams too, but he doesn't let his chat walk all over him and dictate the mood of his streams. Which in a way provides a more similar experience to what Jerma used to have. It's not perfect obviously but I oddly find Etalyx more enjoyable to watch than Jerma at this point. Not that I dislike him but.... his content is becoming just so out there by now it doesn't feel the same.

Also, as this thread has pointed out. The influx of troons and other soys in his community have made it pretty difficult to enjoy. Etalyx definitely has like, one or two of those in his community and discord. It's not nearly at the same level though. I think the worse i've seen it is that you can get timed out for saying retard cause it's "a slur". How much of that is Etalyx bending to popular demand though? I can't say.

I've always been in the camp that unless they're actually reacting to something (like a horror game), facecams on streams do nothing but take up space and block UI elements 90% of the time. It's just that parasocial retards want a way to "connect" with the streamer. I liked when he used to stand up against the mob and told them no from time to time since it showed he still had a little bit of a backbone. I get that it's in his entertainer persona to want to please people, especially when he has a horde of very demanding fans constantly yelling at him to do things, but it's a much more respectable position to be able to tell your audience to fuck off and do what you want on occasion. It's why I respect Vinny from Vinesauce more even if I find him a lot less entertaining.

As for exaggerating his ADHD, I haven't been watching too many of the newer streams so I haven't really noticed. Is he getting distracted by chat memes again? I thought once he banned links things got a little better on that end. Maybe you're right though and him joining this partnership means throwing a bone to chat more often for "engagement" purposes, even though he did that plenty already. Either way, I think the golden age of Jerma985 has unfortunately passed. Ever since he got a huge boost in popularity he pretty much became a puppet for his chat. Shame it had to be this way but it seems to happen to most content creators who get too big for their own good.

I don't think Jerma has necessarily degraded much yet if at all, his community has gotten worse in some respects, but his own comedy has not changed. He does also say no to facecam even when chat asks even in recent streams, and I don't necessarily see him bowing down to them more. He's always more actively communicated with his audience during streams than I've seen others like Vinny do.

It doesn't help that he kinda started it by joking (I hope) that he would go to furry conventions in a fursuit and not tell anyone after he retires. Like the dude has an actual furry stalker on Facebook that makes erotic art of him AND claims to be his husband. Maybe stop fanning the weirdo flames for a bit?

Thought you guys were exaggerating about the troons/annoying gays in his community but reading some of the comment threads in his most recent archived streams on youtube has really proved your point. Some very demoralizing threads out there. Saw one person saying they can't support a creator if they aren't loudly supportive of lgbt. Such fragile people, can't even watch an Internet clown without knowing that they bend the knee and support whatever dumb sexuality they have. Who cares.

I'm gonna dig through my history. It was a while ago since I started, but I know what I saw. Will edit once I find it.
Edit 1: No luck so far, but I'm dead serious. It was in a Reddit post (sue me) where people tried to bring attention to him and how Jerma should put a restraining order or something on him. He had a Facebook profile where he called himself Jerma's husband, and was selling erotic art of him as well. It was honestly creepy and I think we even brought up about him humoring the idea of going to a furry convention incognito brought these kind of people.

Considering a good portion of Jerma's fanbase consists of the usual suspects responsible for shit like Septiplier, I don't doubt that someone out there (assuming this furry doesn't exist) has or will do this at some point. And as much as I like Jerma, he's kinda been bringing it on himself over recent years with humouring the catboy shit and this fursuit business. But honestly the thing that surprised me the most is that our perp uses Facebook of all places to vent his sexual fantasies.
