Yes, people with trauma love to replay their trauma over and over again, their disordered and broken brain is drawn to doing so to keep them in misery but that doesn't make it actually healthy. Replaying can involve disassociating and constantly thinking of events over again, putting yourself in risky situations to recreate the situation (usually in some vain attempt to recreate their scenario where they were "in control"), even recreating their trauma on someone else (such as abusing children the way you were to watch someone else suffer the way you did), etc. None of this is healthy, it's just a very typical trauma-oriented mental illness symptom.

Cutting helps a cutter break out of their headspace but that doesn't make it a healthy coping mechanism, it's just a cope. But unlike loli hentai, cutting at least doesn't fund an industry built on encouraging child sex abuse so they're still better than Meigh.
