Upon arrival at Southend Hospital he already had a poor prognosis.

An independent doctor did an informal brain stem test and Archie showed no response to any of the 7 parts of the test.

Archie has shown no other signs that point to him being anything other than brain dead. Three days after the hanging he developed diabetes (common in brain death), his EEGs show no sign of brain activity and an MRI showed 'severe irreversible hypoxic ischaemic brain damage'.

40 minutes. So his mum was definitely lying at the start, possibly experienced some time distortion due to the trauma, then realised she had at least 40 minutes to account for between the rabbit prank and finding him.
That is a long time without oxygen.
