Can Jessica have a thread of her own? I’m sick of seeing her horse face here when I come to snark on Sidhbh and her poor unfortunate souls.
That corner-less mouth, like if you tried to shape a rubber band into a smile.
Sibhbhdh has a lot of orbiters (in addition to sad-sack clients, there's her weird family, crossover cow moments with the Jennings, etc) and when she's not up to much they pick up the slack. But I could see the value in a Jessica thread for sure. There's also the fact that she'll inevitably break up with the Gallagher she's dating (unless they already have?? Idk, might have missed it ⏰) or otherwise break off from the orbit and then she'll have no place in the thread anyway. 🤔

Would anyone want a dedicated thread on Noah, or do they just not want her in this one? She has a lot of cow qualities but I don't know if she's interesting enough to carry her own thread, she's more entertaining as a minor character.

Sidhbh tends to go quiet when it seems like the walls are closing in on her chop shop and Neasa is pretty reserved in her use of social media. Noah fills the gaps when the main cow is going through a dry spell.

----------------------------------------------
Found this on Twitter, apparently Sidhbh doesn't take insurance. Can any burgerkiwis explain why that might be? It seems like it'd limit her pool of potential victims if they all have to pay $10,000 out of pocket for their yeets, does refusing to take insurance mean she doesn't have to follow certain guidelines or shield her from the consequences of what she's doing?

I found this while looking up something about Ellen Paige, of all people:

It's what she's doing now, too.
She's not updated TikTok in a while, and before she went quiet her videos really got toned down:

Neasa also hasn't posted anything in two weeks, and here's something weird. See this post? I could have sworn there was a Noah comment on it, but it's not there anymore.

So while the paddies are locked down, we can still get dumb shit like this:

Yes, that's Nasa stabbing Noah in the ass with a needle.

To your first question any arrangement between a doctor/hospital and insurance (called being in-network) takes time and effort to arrange and results in a loss of autonomy. If Sneed wanted to take insurance she'd have to negotiate payments/reimbursements with each insurance company, and depending on her specific situation the greater number of patients that comes with being in-network might not be worth it if the insurance company is only willing to pay much less than she can charge without them. Insurance can also refuse to pay for a procedure even if Sneed deems it medically necessary - this is where most stories about patients in the US owing tens or hundreds of thousands in healthcare costs come from, the insurance company just said "fuck you not paying". Not taking insurance means she does not have to worry about them denying coverage and patients backing out when the new, higher, cost is revealed.

To your question about guidelines or liability the answer is "no", even if she took insurance she'd have every right to do elective procedures for cash but that would not shield her from professional ethics rules or malpractice suits. Taking insurance would not open her up to inspections or audits by the insurance company so I can't think of anything that would be hidden by refusing to take it - after all Kathy "the Butcher of Ardmore" Rumer has her entire business model built around taking every insurance and nearly every patient, and she's still in business despite being near-universally reviled in online trans circles.

If that Twitter troon was right this looks really sketchy but I suspect it was a mistake somewhere along the way: Sneed put out this video about insurance coverage so unless she stopped between Sept. 2021 and now it's way more likely that the receptionist said "we don't take your insurance" or "we charge $$$ even with insurance" and that got turned into "we don't take insurance".

Can someone explain how Plume is legal? Are they just a middleman who hooks you up with an unscrupulous NP in your state who will prescribe whatever you want?

Yes, it's a horrendously unethical middleman: You sign up, you have a series of video calls with a doctor or NP who is licensed in your state of residence, and at the end s/he signs off on whatever you want even if it is risky. Given that the treatment it offers varies by state based on what is/isn't allowed by telehealth laws it's pretty clear they figured out exactly where the line is and do the bare minimum to avoid crossing it - the whole thing is transparently meant to be a prescription mill but they still put "as necessary" or "as appropriate" disclaimers to maintain plausible deniability if prosecutors start asking questions.

Edit: Despite operating in 41 states and being big enough to be a household name in online trans circles, Plume has only 31 licensed prescribers (MDs and NPs combined). You're going to have an extremely hard time convincing me this is not a prescription mill.

Speaking of unethical. I learned this today:
Doing in-office treatments to avoid hospital permission issues? Where have we heard that before? 🤔

These last couple of posts remind me of another reason why I find her so horrifying. She works over here because back home the patients would all be on Ireland's version of the NHS unlike America's bottomless private goldmine. Back there there aren't poor people and children willing to hock against the price of an actual house just to be "nip free" and "euphoric".

I believe that lots of doctors in Ireland refuse to perform double mastectomies on healthy women... which is kinda cool. Maybe she'd be shunned.

Nah, Ireland has a hybrid healthcare system. Anyone can use the public system, but anyone with sense who can afford it has private insurance. Even a lot of people who don't have private insurance will cough up a grand or two to see a consultant privately to get the ball rolling on treatment rather than go on public waiting lists. As far as I know trans surgeries are only offered through private insurance or out of pocket so she could be charging big money similar to what she currently does, though higher taxes would eat into it quickly and fewer people may be willing to travel to her.

She probably left in the first place because conditions for junior doctors absolutely suck, a big chunk of new graduates emigrate every year because of it, and if she wanted to go into plastics there were more options for training abroad. Then she started getting recognition for going out into the world and being a trailblazer for trans rights, she set up her glamorous clinic in Miami, it all became part of how she sells the dream.

Protect "trans" kids (from this breastless woman with an Onlyfans, posing for a come-hither photograph shirtless and on a faux-fur rug while "advocating" for children)
Defend "trans" lives (so they don't end up like this creepy hapless woman)

Btw, idk if I've ever seen the across-the-chest scar anywhere else but Gallagher. I'm sure other doctors must do it too I guess, but usually there are two separate scars on the teet-yeeted. Nearly all her patients seem to have one great big ragged scar though, like she just said "fuck it, can't be bothered" and sawed them in half.

Hold on now, I didn't notice that when I posted this, but that rug and pillow look familiar, don't they?

Let's compare it to Sidhbh's patient photos, shall we?

Noah took that shirtless photo on the floor of Sidhbh's medical office.

The local dodgy plastic surgeon I mentioned earlier also had “clinics” instead of hospitals - it’s a huge red flag.

PL - but when I needed to have cosmetic surgery (yeah, yeah I know) my doctor booked me in to a proper hospital for the procedure. I recognised the anaesthesiologist from another unrelated but legitimate visit.

The bottom line is, gender surgery is totally cosmetic surgery, and the same warning signals apply. These poor fucking uggos who could just get a lap band and a bit of a lift instead dump all this cash on being “male”.

Also, there's Colorado again. I'm telling you guys, something's in the water.

If you "needed" it, then there's no reason to go "Yeah yeah". We know plastic surgery isn't always tits and nose jobs.

Thanks, yeah it was something I could have lived with but I had the money to do without it, and paid some dude to make it go away. Some people are a bit judgemental, but you are correct, there’s so many things in between.

Also none of those women are going to be eating those biscuits. Excess consumption of saturated fat and sugar is a co-morbidity with those patients!
