Remember that kid, Jaxon Strong? He was born without a brain altogether, and lived about 4 years. His parents puppeteered him around like Robyn does, but they got divorced at the same time they stopped showing him. I think he was declining so much they couldn’t show him anymore.

He is dead (kinda always was, I guess) but there is precedent for brainless children living a couple years, there are a few others. I suppose the brain stem can function alone for a while but eventually declines, with pressure or not. I’m sure @Thomas Eugene Paris can explain it, of course I can’t. It is obvious that Luna is declining though, but how fast is a mystery. I suspect, like Jaxon, they’ll stop showing videos if she gets so bad they even notice anything, but Robyn is so delusional I’m not sure she’ll notice Luna’s death.

I just watch in horror when these parents refuse to accept the obvious. My heart is with Atlas, poor kid.

I’m wondering, could Luna have broken/dislocated bones and nobody would notice?
Yes, unfortunately. A broken bone can go unnoticed in any situation where a person can't express pain/discomfort.
Excuse my back to back posting, but I think she's posturing, which is why she looks so stiff and unnatural. Posturing is a sign of severe, global brain damage.

Also, @FreakyFredsTrannyGranny, brain damage can cause muscles to become abnormally tense and contracted. It's totally different than the paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. It's been discussed in this thread, but in short, the muscle stiffness is caused by brain dysfunction.

Without lots of gentle stretching, physical therapy, and braces or splints, it becomes permanent and results in major deformity of the bones and joints. If Luna were able to feel pain, she would be in agony all the time.

I had a client who was sent home to die who had had 5 or 6 major strokes. His legs contracted to the point where his heels were against his buttocks, and we kept little stuffed animals in his hands because his nails cut into his palms.
Also ripped out his Foley catheter at one point in the hospital. Had some... Bits missing.
He lived like that, bed bound and morphined-up, for 4 months.

Is it possible that the lack of reactions, the posturing and everything else that has changed means the cysts are killing what little brain matter there was and she's pretty much guaranteed to die within the next six months or so?

All signs I've seen point to a massive downward spiral to death.
I just pray she cant feel anything

Nothing is guaranteed, and especially with kids, it's hard to put an expiration date on it, but she has definitely declined since the beginning of the year.

This shit right here is why euthanasia is the closest thing I have to a spiritual belief. Its just plain wrong to make someone live like that.

I told my husband to just put a pillow over my face if I ever ended up like that.

On this case, spoilered because no1curr:
That one was brought home to die, comfort care only, no feeding tubes, subcutaneous fluids if necessary to stay hydrated and comfortable. He was only supposed to live for a week or two, tops.
4 months and a few strokes both micro and major later, he passed away in a PVE sleep.
There wasn't much going on upstairs, but he sadly had moments of lucidity in the beginning.
His wife had a healthy dose of denial... One evening, I came in and she was just pissed that he wasn't eating his dinner... Poor guy couldn't swallow anymore, but she was trying to give him pork chops and green beans. That was a... Difficult conversation to have.

A massive decline....I'm very scared for her wellbeing. Especially with Robyn eschewing most if not all forms of medical intervention unless she can monetise it in some way

I mean, yeah.... Honestly? A therapeutic overdose of morphine feels like the most ethical thing at this point.... her whole existence is pain and voids and noise and overstimulation. Just let her go
I tend to just assume pain, but in Luna's case, I don't think she's suffering. I don't think there's enough brain for sensation to register in a meaningful way. She just is, and will be until she isn't anymore. Like a sea sponge.

Ethically, I think the correct thing is to assume pain and treat it accordingly. We don't 100% know for sure if there's pain or not, and with no way for people like Luna to communicate or for us to know the kindest thing is to err on the side of caution. That people like Robyn and Gwen don't give any pain meds is one of the reasons I consider them massive cunts.

Realistically, however, it is overwhelmingly likely Luna doesn't feel pain or much of anything really. The signals might be being sent out, but her brain isn't there to process them normally.

I don’t want to derail too much, but this reminded me of a fundie YouTube family years ago, they adopted a Russian girl, and she ended up dying of cancer.
Right before she died, the hospital sent her home with her parents and hospice care, and the parents had her set up in a huge room with probably a dozen family and church members sitting in chairs all around her like she was giving a performance. They were all praying for a miracle and the mom kept forcing her to drink a flavored tea, even though the girl was clearly in that agonal breathing stage of dying. The parents filmed all of this and posted it of course.
Later the family sued the hospital saying they ODd the kid on morphine. They just couldn’t accept that their kid died despite everyone praying for her. Don’t know the outcome of the case. The whole thing was grotesque and bizarre.
I can’t remember their name, but it was a pretty notorious fundie exploitation thing at the time.
Anyways, back to Luna.
I have to think she has a hard time breathing by now with her airways being gradually deformed.

Saw locked-in syndrome mentioned, and another post mentioned potential cervical damage from the PTs mishandling, which got me to thinkin'. This may be farfetched, but is it at all possible that she has quietly had a spinal/cervical injury severe enough that she's become entirely immobile, but her muscles are still constricted beyond repair so she's remained curly?

Or perhaps, would the total annihilation of whatever sector of her brain that's responsible for movement result in immobility, despite seizures? Her eyes still read "gotta seize, brb" but obviously her body doesn't anymore.

It's just bonkers how still she is these days.
Too bad the PTs can't just painlessly snap her neck like vets do for hopeless animals.

What the fuck kind of vets have you been going to? I thought they just used the sleepy shot.
I know this only bc of a cow who had some vet school training, but didn't actually do the technique right (I think it's dissecting the cartoid artery but can't remember for sure) when her rescue kitten fell off her balcony, so she curbstomed it to death. She was also a munchie and has a thread. Looks like an ogre and is Swedish or something like that.
edit: found her
That's just the reiki you're seeing
I want to learn this secret combat reiki that can brain damage your enemies.

I'm just waiting til Luna heads to the potato patch in the sky, then narc mom gets one of those "Reborn Dolls" made to look just like Luna in her "memory", and proceeds to use it as a prop til she dies of a snake-venom enema or something.
You should see the "Reborn Doll" that has two faces, side by side. THAT is horrifying.
