Labelle clearly doesn't know how to tearjerk.
We cut from Sandrat telling us the "sad" tale, in which the only conflict is his grandpa calling him a "faggot" once.
Considering his mom's death is a supposed huge heartbreaking dramatic ordeal, he should be sobbing, right?
Nope.
After that, he isn't in tears or lamenting his mom's death. He's just painting his nails without a care.
The drama is also killed by the fact that the faces are weird as fuck. Sandrat's dad looks like he just smoked every known substance in the universe. Sandrat's brother is derped as fuck.
LaBelle should consider hiring an actual writer for her comics. This is atrocious.

Where's the emotion? It just feels like a cheap way to pull in viewers because "baaaaaw sympathy" and people tend to be blinded by things that manage to get them on a personal level. I'm almost tempted to rewrite this myself. Almost.

I'm not sure if LaBelle is completely incapable of writing about these topics, or if it's just because it isn't herself/Stephie.

Wouldn't everyone pay $50 for a copy of a webcomic which is free online?
Seeing that one reminds me of the huge disconnect in Labelle's logic:
  • Clothing: Anything can be any gender or gender neutral
  • Toys: Are all strictly male or female only
  • Telescopes: Hurr nurr phallic symbols for men.

I wonder when people are going to start realizing that feminine and masculine are artificial concepts that arose from the mannerisms and movements of the physical body in an effort to search for a mate, I bet if technology somehow away and along with our ability to synthesize hormones in a lab these MAAB weirdos would just go back to masturbating outside of a 12-year-old girl's window while poking their own butthole with a carrot stick.

...What.

To be honest with you I would, provided I like the comic enough and the print quality is good. It's great to have a physical copy in your hands for when you can't get to a computer, and sometimes there's extras thrown in. And support the artist and all that shit. I suspect LaBelle would print hers on an office photocopier, though, and use staples. 95% mark up compared to someone else's equivalent.

She can't even convey emotion to her readers. She's horrible at doing : '' Show, but don't tell. '' Ciel looked annoyed in this comic and sound like a sociopath. She tries to make it a sympathic character and fails so hard. If backstory isn't your strenght, then don't write them.

This is loss.jpg levels of awful.

Both. Even when writing about herself she comes like a smug condescendig jerk that lack of basic self awareness.

Also, I doubt Sophie cares about improving the quality of her stuff given that her audience (outside of us) is probably the less critical fandom in existence .
