Is this their new line of attack since j6 failed?
drumpf will literally end the world
okay so he didn't end the world, but he'll start WWIII
okay so he didn't start WWIII, but he tried to take over washington DC
okay so he didn't do that, but he did commit fraud <--- we are here
okay so he didn't commit fraud, but he once wrote "ok" in a box that said "don't write anything here"
okay so he didn't do that, but mean tweets

I really don't get how buying gold is supposed to be a hedge against inflation. America's supply of gold is in Fort Knox and the government doesn't do gold exchanges, especially when that money used to buy gold deeds is itself US fiat. How do you cash out?
There are bullion merchants all over who buy and sell gold. The idea is when you want to use it as currency you can either bring it back to the dealer who will give you something like 90% of the current price for your gold, or you can trade directly with another citizen for their goods and services.

It’s also why silver is useful, it comes in small enough increments to buy food, gas, a tow etc. Good luck getting change for your ounce of gold.

Government not meant to be part of the deal.

Edit: was talking with my long-time dealer, he’s struggling to get metal to sell, NO ONE is selling at the moment. So the traditional discount is not happening, and you will possibly pay a premium over the paper price.

Stocks dropping big time, crypto dropping like Satan falling from Heaven like a lightning bolt, I bet metals are having a BONANZA!
Nope, gold, silver, platinum, copper and palladium are all down.
:story:
THANKS JOE BIDEN
What boggles my mind is what the fuck are they doing with the money they're taking out of the markets? I sure as shit wouldn't want to have all of my assets in USD right now.

I went liquid a few months ago. All my proceeds went to guns, ammo loading gear, non perishable food, and paid off my cars. Hold onto your nuts.

Remember when you thought the war would be over within 24 hours due to how bad ass big strong Russia was? lol I don't know how anyone can still be trying to grand stand over this after Russia embarrassed themselves so hard.
On paper it honestly looked like Russia would steamroll them. A top-5 military invading an eastern euro shithole.
It turns out they're as bad as us as to being too used to fighting goatfuckers who only have AK's and RPG's. This much of a slog is not what Russia intended regardless of outcome.

That ideal that the "enemy will crumble fast before our might" is probably a universal belief that almost every big military power in history has believed in.

Its the same ideal that Bush used for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The same ideal that all the European empires had at the same time during the run up to World War 1, that the war would be over by Christmas.

I understand vatniks pushing that meme but Joe Biden and his crew were pushing alarms that Kiev will fall fast and now lying further that they already knew Ukraine was going to lose in the long run but Z-man was being unreasonable.

Though I am interested in knowing if the Russian MOD ever claimed that they would end the war within a day or soon given how long were the seiges to defeat ISIS in Syria. But I have been hearing plenty of talking points from Western journalists and pundits that Russia would run out of fuel and ammo soon.

The idea long term is the metals drop 20% when the market drops 80% for the “big one” so you buy in a couple years with a lot more cash. It might spike though.

The debt market is what drives everything right now. Inflation is fucking the debt market which is what the stock market is reacting to. Watch the 10yr yield. The big one might literally have started a few days ago. Its spiking day over day. If its not the big one today its a tremor. Its happening, the only question is when.

The media was also trying to get people to think Putin would get coup'ed by the war and the Reddit brigade would be in Moscow by now. All we know about the war now is that it's a stalemate.
No one was suggesting this. You must be terminally online. The media's take was that Ukraine would get their shit pushed in as well. Hilariously, Russia literally exposed themselves as having depreciated into a North Korea tier paper tiger. They literally have like a tiny percentage of the leverage they had before as a real military power and would have been better off if they did nothing.

The fact that thinly-closeted internet Nazis got hard over "big strong man Putin doing big strong things" even despite the fact he wants to put Nazis against a wall and he loves Jews is just what makes it hilarious. lol

The 10-year yield is cranking up 6.36% today.
There's all kinds of shit left to happen, like Japan and China cratering and the world abandoning the dollar which will drive inflation through the roof.
I'll be interested to see at what point the capital flows into metals and crypto. Most likely IMO after the stock market collapses and then the dollar gets destroyed.

But this kicking the can down the road has been something every Administration has engaged in.
Hell, I remember President Trump complaining that the Fed might raise rates. It was the responsible thing to do at any point up until now when America is absolutely screwed in a no win situation.

I didn't believe any good news for Ukraine for like a month into the war, due to all the tall tales of the Clapping Einsteins of Kyiyiyiyiyiv BTFO'ing a gorillion Russians a day. Good news sounded like Western copium.

But I admit I was wrong. Russia is barely even a shadow of its former Soviet self.

We can only wonder how low the real number is. I would guess low 30s or high 20s.

You gotta love the "it's a messaging problem" cope when the average person is watching their savings evaporate and spending twice as much at the gas station and grocery store. Anything to protect the ego of the insecure vegetable president.
Not even Rasmussen has him that low. If anything, I think his numbers are probably better than 538 is showing. There are a lot of libs/moderates who don't like him but will hold their noses and vote for him anyway (doubly so if Trump is his opponent) and an outsized amount of the daily polls are coming from one source, Rasmussen/POS. That matters because all of the poll-houses do their own internal response rating to try to estimate the true national attitude and then 538 tries to unbias them all to get a more realistic picture. But even with that unbiasing you still want a lot of sources being compared together, which they aren't currently getting.

Bear in mind that we are still 4 months away from midterms, 19 from pres. primaries and 28 from the pres. general election. The economy/inflation is going to make or, probably, break Biden day by day, week by week.

A lot can happen in 4 months. The Honkening was 4 months ago, but it feels like it's been an eternity.
