The idea of a "10 year plan" for Kamala Harris was immediately shown to be unviable with Kamala Harris' inappropriate and borderline pseudo-Bulbar jokerlaughter all through her time as VP and inability to handle anything at all and keep a staff in line means she polls even worse than Biden.
Joe Biden's handlers are talking about running him again in 2024 because democrats have nobody with real viability and the name recognition of Joe Biden, but given that his name is mud now, they might be forced out.

Before people talked of shelving Joe Biden, the Obama/Biden side tried to pin the tail on the Clinton/Kamala Harris donkey and sent out feelers of taking her off the ticket even before the midterms happened. Kamala Harris has less of a chance of being on the 2024 ticket than Biden right now I think. I put Joe Biden at 30ish percent with Kamala Harris close to zero percent. She is toast.
Yeah, I think the most likely choice is Hillary right now as fucking insane as that sounds.

Right now the House retirement is a flip of the 2018, dynamic. That midterm had the most retirements for Republicans in years and the lowest amount of retirements for Democrats in year. Currently its 32 House Democrats not seeking re-election versus 17 House Republicans. All the Republicans need is 5 net seats but their edge in incumbency is +15. That alone should be enough to at least split the House. Sentiment is 70+ percent for a Republican re-take.

Punchbowl News surveyed several senior Capitol Hill aides and reported that a whopping 73 percent think Republicans will take the speaker’s gavel from Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi next November.

Midterm anxiety is why the question is even being asked if Joe Biden should seek re-election. There's some political rule that goes something like, "Any political statement that ends in a question mark has an answer of 'no' ", so the statement, "Will Joe Biden Seek Re-Election?" translates as, "No, Joe Biden should not seek re-election."
Democrats losing the House means Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are toast and democrats are big underdogs in the midterms to keep the house.

I think the smartest choice for the Democrats would be Gavin Newsom. He's got name-brand recognition as the governor of California, very progressive political record, ability to fundraise, survived a recall, not a decrepit geriatric, etc. Not saying he would guarantee a win for them in 2024, but I can't think of any Dem who has as strong of a potion as he does right now.

Will history judge the “fortification” of the 2020 election as one of the all time greatest Pyrrhic victories?

The Dems didn’t get enough power to really flatten their opposition, but are stuck holding the bag for some things that would be happening no matter who was in power.

Every choice they are compelled to make by ideology makes it worse (energy, foreign policy, economics).

Amazing to watch.

Blumpf dropped his manifesto to the J6 Committee.

The key quote, and the key point I always bring up about 2020:
Former President Donald Trump said:
These same states, who had counted millions of ballots in a single day, had to stop counting in order to count a few hundred thousand ballots over the next four days to call the race on November 7th. Why would it take four more days to count a few hundred thousand votes when they had counted millions in one day?

Who likes him outside of California though? He's so fake and insufferable. He's basically Justin Trudeau's twin.

The last time a California politician was successful nationally was Reagan maybe in the 1980s. I think they are only viable in the 21st century in the land of fruits and nuts. Nobody could see Kamala Harris hydrogen-bombing on the nomination trail and the tanking as VP and think, "ooh, lets do that nationally."
