Erin Reed cares about his brand, and that’s all. He’s finally latched onto something that allows him to feel like an authority figure and get attention. Medical school didn’t work, being an overly involved drug dealer didn’t work, being a discount Nate Silver didn’t work. But his trans political commentator brand finally hit the spot. He gets to talk down to people all day long, and he gets his AGP coomer supply by posting his weird crouching-down tight-lipped angle selfies. Win-win for him.

Of course he doesn’t give a shit about whether what he is posting is true or if it supports what he’s saying: he’ll only delete if he decides it’s obviously untrue enough to damage his brand. He will gladly throw kids under the bus for the sake of pushing blockers as part of his activism, even if he knows the studies he’s posting are shit. We should just be happy he never managed to actually become a doctor.
