this post about kim dumping him a couple years back... it's kind of an interesting listen.
he's not at all badly-spoken. i totally understand why some might assume people who can't read or write also would talk like cavemen, but in my experience illiteracy is usually about upbringing/environment/lack of schooling or dyslexia etc. instead of just "too dumb too read." obvs those people exist too but i feel like steven (weirdly eloquent compared to a lot of the ppl in the sammieverse) is maybe more the norm
